Birthday (Mavin)

Part 1

Michel was having quite an average birthday. He had to work of course but he didn't mind. He couldn't think of a better job. Getting payed for playing video games with your best friends was the best thing he could think of. The day was pretty basic. He filmed a GTA IV with Jeremy, Gavin, and Ryan. Throughout the day his co-workers would come up to his desk and wish him a happy birthday or give him a card. It wasn't too bad of a day considering he spent the whole day with Gavin. Gavin took him out to lunch with the rest of the AH crew. Gavin played a horror game with Michael just for Michael to laugh his ass off watching Gavin fall to the floor in fear. Gavin was being epically cute to Michael today, and Michael wasn't the only one who noticed. Lindsay had also noticed Gavin's sly flirting. She didn't say anything but she knew. She knew Gavin had a tiny crush on her husband. Michael had told her that he didn't return the feelings to Gavin, but she doubted that. That's all that they would fight about these days. Yeah she loved Michael with all her heart, but sometimes she felt that Michael loved Gavin. She tried to stay out of the achievement hunter room as to not get too mad that Michael would rather spend his birthday with Gavin and not her. As the day came to an end Gavin had an idea. "Hey guys for Michael's birthday how about we all go out for some bevs? My treat Micoo," Gavin said with a smile and a wink at Michael. All the guys agreed and within a few minutes every one was on their way to the bar. They all crowded into the bar and the first one to order was Michael. The bar served a bit of food and Geoff suggested that Michael get a slice of cake. It was his birthday after all. The guys all continued drinking. After a few hours all the guys with kids decided to go home eventually leaving just Gavin, Lindsay, Barbra, and Michael. Barbra got tired and offered Lindsay a ride home. The drunk Lindsay left Michael with a kiss and whispered "Bye Babe, happy birthday." Gavin seemed a bit annoyed. "You can leave with Lindsay if you want too," Gavin said looking down at his drink. Michael was only tipsy but he was feeling especially brave. "But I wanna stay with you Gavin." Gavin froze. He didn't know what that meant. He didn't think Michael was drunk. He had only 2 beers in the past 5 hours plus some water. Was Michael implying that he would be happier staying with Gavin than with Lindsay? Or was he just saying that he liked spending time with his friend.  Gavin looked back at Michael and they stared right at each other for what seemed like hours.  Gavin was sweating and Michael was too.  Gavin decided to break the silence.  "Well since you seem sober enough to drive me home, care for a few bevs at my house?"  Gavin tried his best not to stutter, it didn't work though.  "Sure why not.  But what about Meg?  I'm sure she will want to spend some time with you." Micheal seemed very sad when he said this.  "Actually Meg has been out for a few days.  She's visiting relatives."  Michael's heart skipped a beat when Gavin said that.  Michael knew nothing was going down.  Michael knew he wasn't going to get the birthday kiss he wanted from Gavin.  But at least Michael was going to spend his birthday with his best friend.  They hopped out of their chairs as Gavin payed the bill.  As they walked out of the bar Michael put his arm around Gavin. "Thanks again for paying for my drinks Gav."  Gavin's stomach did that butterfly flip thing and he could barely breathe.  Michael's arm stayed like that the rest of the way to the car.  Once they got in the car it was kinda an awkward ride.  No one spoke.  When Michael pulled into Gavin's driveway Michael seemed a bit unsure.  He didn't want to end up getting really drunk and making out with Gavin.  He knew Gavin didn't like him like that.  He didn't want to embarrass himself.  "What's wrong Micoo?"  Gavin could tell that Michael was nervous.  He wasn't sure why though.  "Oh, nothing," Michael said. "It's just I really don't wanna bother you."  "Come on Micoo it's your birthday.  You won't bother me.  It's been quite lonely without Meg around anyways."  Michael looked at Gavin with a bit of a smirk.  With that they both got out of the car and walked up to Gavin's house.
