Bilbo was getting quite tired of the trek. His feet hurt and he was in need of a nice meal. The muddy swamp ground was moist and sunk with every step Bilbo took. As he took another step he felt a tug on his leg. The hobbit frantically tried to pull his legs from the muddy ground but they were stuck. He whined in dismay and tried once more. He could see the group going ahead, it was unknown to them where he was. They hadn't even figured out he was gone yet. He yanked his leg and surprisingly popped free, but once his leg was free from the muck he felt himself still being raised. He was confused for a moment when he realized with horror that an Orc had taken him. "Thorin!" He cried in agony kicking the orc. "Oh stop fussing, what are you anyway?" It wondered aloud gripping the poor hobbit tighter with its talon-like hands.

Thorin heard the call of his name from the lips of none other than his own Bilbo Baggins. He rushed back in worry when he felt ropes tie him down. "Hey! It's another! And an 'important one 'e looks like!" The Orc snarled to his comrades. Thorin struggled against the ropes but it was useless. He was knocked out by a huge hammer and taken somewhere unknown.

When Thorin finally woke he found himself chained to a wall stripped of all the metal on him (and his fur cloak). He was left with nothing but his blue tunic, trousers, and boots. He bellowed in rage and cursed the Orcs when he noticed someone else. Bilbo was hanging from his chained arms limply beside him. "Bilbo!" He rushed forward to the frail hobbit but was yanked back by his chains. Thorin fought hard but he knew it was useless. Suddenly he heard the sound of a key clicking into a lock. Some three or four Orcs moved into the cell, grumbling to themselves. "Ahh, it seems the king has awoke." The Orc emphasised the word king with a snicker. "T-Thorin?" The dwarf heard Bilbo whisper. "You're awake!" Thorin cried happily. "How did you find me?" The hobbit interrogated nervously. "Look what you've gotten yourself into!" Thorin knew the risk he took when he came after Bilbo but it was worth it. "It's o-"

"Enough chatting, MORE PAIN!" One of the Orcs said excitedly. Bilbo shrank back against the wall as the Orc grabbed him. They unchained the hobbit and dragged him to the center of the cell where they rechained him to a large rock. "How about we each get our own fair share in torturing the small creature, hm?" The biggest Orc said looking hungrily upon Bilbo. He moved foward knife in hand. "No! STOP!" Thorin shouted tugging against the chains but his struggles were in vain. Slowly the Orc stabbed Bilbo in the lower right side of his back. The poor hobbit cried out in pain. The Orc twisted the blade and pulled it out. Bilbo choked and started breathing heavily. Thorin didn't want to watch. He could do nothing to stop it!

Bilbo anticipated the next strike twisting to avoid it and the blade plunged into the stone, shattering. "ARGGHHH!!!!" The Orc howled in anger. Thorin sighed with relief. "Come on! You can't to anything! Give me a chance!" Another Orc came up and kneed Bilbo in the face. He whimpered quietly and bent over. What was he doing! He needed to get himself together! Ignoring the pain Bilbo straightened. Stars danced in front of his eyes for a moment but they cleared away. Another Orc stabbed him in the side with a snicker. "Still feeling brave, sheep?" The Orc sang into his ear. Bilbo grit his teeth. This blade wasn't normal, it was poisoned. The Orc stabbed him again in his chest then once more tracing his jaw. The hobbit gasped and sputtered when he began to feel numb. His eyes were closing and his strength was leaving him. He felt himself sigh then the world went dark. "BILBO NO!" Thorin yelled outraged. He ripped against the chains and spewed curses at the Orcs like a fountain but none of it would help Bilbo. HIS burglar. HIS hobbit. HIS life. Suddenly dwarves burst in smothering the Orcs killing them all. Thorin started to get lightheaded. "We're here Uncle." He heard Fili say before he went blank.
