It's a funny thing, memory. You don't always think about it, but it never stops being there. It stays, constantly, in a corner of your mind, waiting to be remembered. Without knowing it, you allow it to shape who you are. You allow it to shape your relationships.
The bonds you share are strengthened by memories. It creates inside jokes and breeds familiarity. For Sam and Dean, they can hardly remember a time when they didn't know Rose. She's always been there with them, been there for them.
It's a funny thing, memory. Particularly because neither Sam nor Dean actually remember meeting Rose for the first time.

a/n: I'm super excited for this story :3 I wrote a story really similar to it a few years ago, but after going through it I realized there were a lot of changes I wanted to make to the plot, so I'm starting over! This one should be up a lot later than the others though, because I want to plot the whole thing through unlike my last attempt where it sort of ended in a puddle of ideas rather than with a comprehensible storyline... That went rather badly.

Short StoryWelcome to a book that's not really a book. It's really more of a collection of ideas and plans and short stories. Well, for now, at least. Featuring: my occasionally obnoxious (sorry) and perpetually peculiar commentary below.
