Chapter 1
One Friday afternoon in the hallway of my school my friend Haley and I were going to our locker room I was telling her about my leg shaking during math class she believed but looked curious of the look on her face. Then after we got out our social studies books I fell to the ground Haley screamed help as loud as she could then Mrs.Davenport my Social Studies teacher who is really nice to me asked if I were ok but then I wouldn't talk for some reason but then she said can you here me I was quite for a moment and then spoke I said yes ma'am and then went to social studies class with Haley. Then out of know where Haley started asking me all these questions I had to answer the questions but then I got anoyed at the tenth question and stopped her right there and said in the sweetest possible way I could "Haley I know your my friend and everything but please just stop and she stopped.
After socialstudies it's the end of the day and when I got home I was going to make my Oreo cereal but when I was holding the bowl my hand started shaking as fast as it could then I dropped the bowl on the floor and it broke my mom came over to me and saw my hand shaking and saw the broken bowl and said"honey go Lu down in bed and I'll call the doctor"and so I did go lay in bed but when I woke up 3hours later the doctor was looking at me and he said sit up and I did and then I put my legs at the edge of the bed then the doctor got out one of his tools and tapped it on my knee and it didn't jerk like it was suppose to it just stayed flat then he did it again same thing happened again then my mother and the doctor went out in the hallway he said to her your daughter has polio ,then my mother started bursting into tears then when she came into my room she told me what the doctor said even though I had already had heard.
When my dad got home my mom helped me slip on some pjs before we were going to the hospital before we went to the hospital my brother art who his intelligent gave me his teddy bear before we left.
