chapter four
I guess today was one of those days where the idea of waking up early and going to school just didn't stick. So do you know what I decided to do?
Skip obviously.
And what's better than skipping school?
Skipping school with your friends.
It was around 7 when I sent a speedy simple text to both Jared and Sammy. They replied with more than just a simple text and a couple of curse words but nonetheless decided to skip with me. So here I am, sitting on the bottom step, tying the laces to my sneakers and waiting for their arrival.
I glanced at the brown leather watch on my pale wrist. It read 9:25. The thought 'What's taking them so long?' sprang to my mind just as a horn honked out front. I jumped off the stairs over to peak out of the window. There in the drive way, Sam's car sat; him in the drivers seat and Jared in the passenger seat. Grappling a jacket, I sprinted out of the front door and hopped into the backseat.
I peered at them both from my seat and asked,
"So you don't want to kill me anymore, right?"
"Kill you, pffft that's the understatement of the year," Stated Sam.
Jared followed with,
"He's right, we were thinking more along the lines of hours of torture and then we dump your body into a river; whilst you're alive obviously,"
"But but but...... I'm too beautiful to die," I say, pretending to swoosh my imaginary hair around.
"You....," Sam guffawed," beautiful? That's two words I never thought I'd hear in the same sentence,"
"Obviously I'm the most beautiful. I mean, who in this car gets all the ladies?" Jared wiggles his eyebrows.
"And who in the car has all the STD's?" I ask.
"JARED."' Sam and I say in unison.
"Get the car started already." Jared huffs as he slumps back into his seat.
I chuckle as the Sam starts the engine. I have a feeling today is going to be a fun day.
~~~
"So where exactly are we going?" I ask as we stop at a red light.Sam then menacingly turns in his seat, eyes like the devil and bellows,
"You have got to be kidding me? You were the one who decided to drag us out and yet you have no plan?"
