Chapter 3 Sexy Rooftop Fairy Godfather and wishes

Katherine Mulder also known as Kate to her friends, walked up the steps to the roof top garden and recreation area. She had to first change from the sticky, Sprite infested black slacks and green blouse at her place, before walking the flight of stairs next to her metal door. When she needed to think, or if she had a really bad day ay work, this was her oasis from her problems. This was one of the reasons why she had bought her condo.

The rent for a similar apartment in the city, was more than her mortgage, for her small place. It had made perfect sense economically, but the cost of her down payment sometimes didn't seem worth it.

Katherine put in the door code, then opened the heavy door and quietly closed it behind her. She didn't want anyone to complain about her late night excursion to the roof. It was so quiet, with only an occasional horn blast from a motorist, and the hum of road noise.

Sitting down on the lounger, she stretched her tight muscles. Leaving her shoes on the ground, her toes seem to appreciate the room from out of the confines of her DC's. Moving and stared at the stars. Or tried to, with so many lights in the city, it was difficult to see more than plane and helicopter lights.

Relaxing her tight neck and stiff shoulders She thought of the other night. “Sucky Cupid, what was wrong with him.”

”Talking to myself, Kate. Thank goodness their was no one here, to question my sanity. So girl, what are you going to do?” Katherine put her head between her legs as she quietly spoke her thoughts out loud.

“Stupid girl, how do you find these arse holes that use us, and abuse our trust? ”

Flinching, as if being hit. “I have to stop this cycle. I have to turn my bad luck around. Because I can't live like this anymore. I really can't.” Tears flowed unhindered on my face. My mind snapped, terror at my abysmal future came as a vision to me. “I would do anything to stop this constant pain. I would give anything to change my life.”

I couldn't breath, all the bad in my life seem to crowd my mind. Controlling my chest, gripping it in a tight embrace. I felt my chest constrict. Oh my god, I was having an asthma attack! Struggling to get air into my lungs, I gripped my chest. Oh Fuck, I was going to die up here, and no one knew I was on the roof. Dammit, I want to really live. I want to prove to all the douche bags out there , I was a survivor. I grabbed at that emotion. Grasping at the tendrils of stubbornness that had sustained me previously.

The constriction in my chest decreased intensity. I continued to concentrate, strengthening my will. Promising the strong spirit inside of me, not allow these men to hurt my heart anymore. “I hate men, they fucking piss me off. I wish I could be calloused and not feel weak, and be hurt by their games.” The words slipped unbidden from energized anger, as my smooth fleshy lips sucked in air.

“I want to be the one to inflict the pain, be the hunter instead of the hunted.” Nostrils flared out, breathing in the dampness and cold. The night air cooled distressed lungs.

“I wish my luck would change, and some good and wonderful things would happen to me. Instead on the usual shit.” She bit her bottom lip hard, until blood seeped from the small wound. “I wish my boss would stop treating me like I'm a fucking slave. That I'd get a raise and promotion, and treated me like I was amazing. I have a business degree, I'd really like to use it.”

Thinking out loud to God. “If it's not too much trouble, I wish to be loved and find some one, I was meant to belong too. Some one I was meant to be with for the rest of my mortal life.”
