I'll be here for you ~ Sans x Reader

Double date...?

You awoke in your bed, tired. Yawning you sit up and rub your drowsy eyes. All of a sudden you're hit with the realisation of the events that happened last night. "Oh my God! Shit, where's Sans?" You look at your bedside table to see your phone lying there with a note:
'((Y/n)), I hope you're okay after last night. I think I've scared him off enough for him to not come back. After you passed out, I took you upstairs to bed. I stayed for a bit just to keep an eye on you but your friend returned. Just in case Dylan comes back, I made you a necklace with a piece of my soul for you to wear. When you're in trouble, squeeze it three times. I'll come straight away.
Take it easy, I put my number in your phone if you wanna text me.

   You didn't notice it before but underneath the note, you see a silver chain with a glowing blue soul piece encased in a silver frame. You admire it's colour and the silver encasing before you fasten it around your neck. You put your hand over it and close your eyes.

   You check your phone and see a text from Saphire:
'Hey ((y/n)), I'm feeling kinda ill so I'm coming back home. See you there xx'
   "So that's why she came home early" you think to yourself.
  
After changing and making pancakes for you and Saphire, who turned out had got the flu, Sans texted you to ask if you wanted to come over. You liked it last time so you accepted his request with excitement. You feel bad for Saphire but as soon as you say "I'm gonna see this guy I met the other day" she insists you go. You still prepare her some food for the day which you put into two containers and into the fridge.
  
   After texting Sans saying you've just left the house, he teleports onto the pavement just outside your door. You gasp in shock.
"Sans! You know how easily I get startled!"
"Whoops sorry, didn't mean to rattle your bones!" He gave you his arm as you rolled your eyes but still did a slight giggle, and you were teleported inside his house.
"HUMAN! YOU HAVE RETURNED! HOW GREAT!" Papyrus greets you in a hug with takes the breath out of you but you still hug him back.
"I see you finished decorating, Papyrus! I like it!" In truth, you feel you could've made the colour coordinations a little more coordinated but for a skeleton, it wasn't half bad.
"So, ((y/n)), I was thinking I should introduce you to my friends! I asked Undyne and Alphys if we could hang out at their place if you want?" If you recall correctly, you remember him saying they were a couple, a fish and a lizard. You were intrigued to meet more monsters rather than... observing them from a distance.
"Sure! I'd love too ! When shall we go?"
"Now?"
"Fine by me!"
"Hey Paps, wanna join us?"
"NO THANK YOU BROTHER! UNDYNE AND I HAD A COOKING LESSON JUST YESTERDAY SO I DON'T NEED TO SEE HER AGAIN! AFTER ALL, ROCKY NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AFTER!" He gestured towards a rock on a table in the corner. It was covered in sprinkles.
"Alright then, shall we?" He locked his arm around yours, teleporting you outside of a blue house with a yellow roof and door.
  
   Sans knocked on the the door as you hear heavy footsteps from the other side. A tall blue lady with fins as ears and an eyepatch wearing a tank top and jeans opens the door. She does a wide grin "Hey Sans! Come on in! Wait, who's this?" Her happy face changed to caution as she looked at you.
"Oh, sorry, this is ((y/n)), my gir- I mean, uh, my-"
"Girlfriend! Pleased to meet you!" You hold out your hand as Undyne raises an eyebrow.
"Hm, okay, any friend of Sans is welcome here!" She smiled but let you in without shaking your hand. You look confused.
"Don't worry 'bout it. She's still not one to really interact with humans all that much." Sans whispered to you, his cheeks were blue after what you had said before.
"It's okay, I get it." You say understandingly.
"Who i-is it Undyne?" You hear a timid voice coming from a room down the hallway.
"It's just Sans and his girlfriend!" Undyne shouted in reply. Both you and Sans share an awkward look at the word "girlfriend".

   You enter what looks to be a very messy lounge with a yellow lizard monster sitting on the couch watching what appears to be anime on a laptop. "Alphys, meet ((y/n))!" Undyne said. Alphys paused what she was watching and turned to look at you. "Oh! Uh, h-hi ((y/n))! N-nice to m-meet you!" Alphys was much different to Undyne. Undyne was tall, muscular and seemed very outgoing whereas Alphys was just a little smaller than yourself, a little chubby and very timid.
"So how are you two?" Sans asked.
"We're fine thanks Sans! Right Alphy?" Undyne jumped on the sofa next to Alphys and put her arm around her. "Y-yes! We're both r-really liking it h-here! The fast i-internet!"
"The refreshing air!"
"The t-tasty snacks!"
"The fun gyms!"
"The great c-comic stores!"
"And the awesome beaches! Yup, aside from the stares we get from the humans, it's pretty darn great here!"
"Oh h-how rude of m-me! D-do you g-guys want a-any drinks? We have w-water and s-soda a-and tea."
"Got any ketchup?"
"Y-yes but-"
"I'll have whatever is still in the bottle then!"
"S-Sans, we only have o-one ketchup b-bottle."
"I'll be fine with the one." Sans smiled cheekily.
"No, that's not w-what I-"
"SANS! UNLIKE YOU WE USE OUR KETCHUP ON THE SIDE OF OUR FOOD NOT DRINK THE WHOLE BOTTLE!!! WHEN WE BUY A WHOLE BOTTLE, WE EXPECT IT TO LAST!!!" Undyne shouted in frustration.
"Undyne, don't get so fish-trated! I just wanna ketchup with you both!" You giggle uncontrollably at Sans' puns. Undyne, however, storms out the room. You hear the sound of china smashing from somewhere down the hall.
"S-Sans! You know Undyne h-hates your puns."
"I know, I just like to get under her scales sometimes." He grinned wider.
"Sans, she d-doesn't even h-have scales..."
"I know, but fish do!"
"I'll just g-give you water. W-what about you ((y/n))?"
"I guess I'll have the soda then, please." You smiled politely as she went to the kitchen.

   You've discussed anime, talked about cooking, had a chat about Christmas and played video games. You ended up finding Alphys and Undyne a really sweet couple, joking around, giving each other the odd kiss on the cheek and just generally being a cliche couple.  You and Sans, however, were both acting a little awkward. Constant blushing and attempts in impressing one another.
  
   The time soon came to 8 o'clock (you had been there since 11 am) so you and Sans decided it was time to leave. He took you back to your house where you gave Sans a hug. Just before going up the stairs, you both stared into each others' eyes and kissed.
