The doorbell rang and I rushed downstairs, but apparently Jackson had the same idea. We reached for the door handle at the same time and our hands touched for a split second before we both pulled away. I could have sworn there were like sparks or something but I quickly shook that thought. "His hands were probably just warm. Besides there is NO way I could have feelings for Jackson Fuller" I reassured myself. I finally came out of my thoughts when I heard Jackson asking if I was gonna answer the door. I opened the door and apologized to Lola for making her wait, " Sorry about that, Jackson decided to race me downstairs and ran into me on the way down" I then made sure that he saw me roll my eyes at him to show him how annoyed I was.
"No really it's fine" Lola replied.
"Okay, lets just get up stairs and start this sleepover!" I exclaimed as we both raced each other upstairs. We started with the normal stuff for a sleepover; we ate snacks, and watched movies, and talked about what we thought high school would be like. Finally my curiosity got the best of me and I asked Lola what her big secret was.
"Okay here goes nothing" she says nervously. " I don't think I have feelings for Jackson anymore, he feels more like a best friend rather than my boyfriend " she breathed a sigh of relief almost as if a huge load had been lifted off her shoulders. "What do you think I should do? she asked.
"I know he might be hurt after, but if you really feel that way you should definitely tell him" I honestly reply.
"Okay, I think I wanna just get it over with and tell him now. But will you come with me, because I'm scared, and if it goes wrong you usually know how to cheer him up" she explains.
"I don't know about being able to cheer him up, but I will definitely go for bff moral support" I say. We walk across the hall, unsure of what the next few minutes will hold.
