Kakashi and Sakura were currently in Tsunade's office, filling her in on Sasuke.
"The mission was a success. We were able to track down the target and locate his whereabouts. He is causing no harm to anyone." Kakashi said.
Tsunade looked to Sakura and noticed the bruise around her throat.
"I can see it wasn't a total success. Right, Sakura? My instructions were clear. Do not approach him!" Tsunade yelled.
Sakura jumped at her sudden outburst. Kakashi placed his hand on her shoulder.
"He had already made contact with her before we ever made a move. He knew we were tailing him before we ever left the village, hokage-sama." Kakashi said.
Tsunade placed her chin in her hands and nodded.
"Sakura, do you still want ANBU? You still have a place if so. Take a few days to think about it. Really think about it Sakura." Tsunade said and dismissed them.
Sakura headed down the road that lead to her apartment. She had more important matters to think about than joining ANBU. She still had to tell Kakashi who she wanted. She turned the knob to her apartment door and sighed. Who did she truly want?
To Kakashi
Kakashi sighed and placed his head under the hot water. He let the water trace down his body and relax his tense muscles. Why did he ask her that? He knew she still wanted Sasuke, no matter how much she denied it. He sighed and hit his fist on the shower wall.
'What are you doing to me, Sakura?' Kakashi asked himself.
To Sakura
Sakura sat in the hot bath and relaxed her body. She placed her head under the water and just laid like that. She closed her eyes and allowed the water to soak her hair. Did she really know who she wanted? Of course she did. There was no doubt in her mind. Sakura let the water out and stepped out of the tub. She placed a towel around her body and opened the bathroom door. She gasped at the sight of Kakashi standing there, his face a bright red.
"I know who I want, Kakashi." She said to him smiling.
He raised his eyebrow in curiosity and looked at her.
"And who would that be, Sa-ku-ra?"He asked and let her name play off her tongue.
She smiled and grabbed his hands. She placed her forehead to his and closed her eyes.
"You. It's always been you, this whole time." She said to him.
The next thing she knew, his lips were pressed to her in a gentle but passionate kiss.
