The Secret Catacombs

Right before me stood Blade, comparing our swords, without an upper shirt. This isn't the first time I saw a half naked guy, but this is the first time I saw him like this. I felt so drawn, but I didn't know why. I found myself staring at him, as if I were eye-raping him. There was nothing I could do but stare at his jaw-dropping, eye-popping, heart-stopping body. I never knew he had abs and muscles and. and. and...

Stop it, Raven. Enough! 

Moving the sword, he saw my reflection staring at him. He suddenly smirked and looked up at me.

"Like what you see?" I snapped out and immediately glared at him. I put such hatred on it that I swore my glare could burn through his head and set the whole city on fire. My hands started to smoke. Before I knew it, I already summoned fire and put it in front of his face, taunting him.

"Put some clothes back on, you idiot! Or else..." The fire in my hands turned from red to white and blue. I could feel something filling up my body, like it was trying to take over me. Before it could've gotten worse, I killed the fire by closing my hands into a fist.

"I'm sorry, dude. I got a little carried away. You know me. Always getting angry at the slightest stuff. My therapy pills never really worked. My anger issue keeps getting worse and worse. Sorry 'bout that." I looked down and shuffled my feet.

"It's okay. It's my fault. Never really should've done that, knowing you and all. " I looked up and saw him smiling at me. Phew. What a relief. For a second there I thought he was going to scream and runaway from me.

"If you're planning to take the bath first, then go. Don't show off your 'abs' aka. A Big Stomach." I pushed him towards the bathroom, took his prepared clothes, and shoved them in his face. As I closed the door, or at least attempted to, he stifled a laugh and stopped the door with his right foot.

"Come on, Raven. Don't deny it. I know that you like what you saw. I saw the look in your eyes, the way you stared." He smirked once again and winked at me. A look of victory plastered on his face.

"Shut up." I said casually as I rolled my eyes and slammed the door in his face.

"Okay! I'm sorry. I was just kidding!" I heard him crack up inside.

"Whatever. Just shower already. We're still going to venture to the Secret Catacombs and look for the missing queen, you know. So hurry up. And lastly, you stink."

I waited for him to finish, getting absolutely bored. I played with the hem of my shirt and thought about Earth. No outsider has ever gotten out of here alive. Other humans just stayed here for their own good, working as farmers, merchants, and researchers. Others died fighting, offering their selves to the queen, telling her that they're willing to join the war and defend the city. Some of them were lucky and managed to survive the war, others fled and never returned.

Well, I don't want to be like them. I want to live a normal life. I want to get back to school and see my card with straight As. I want to go to parties and be crazy. I want to go around the city with my headphones on, post-hardcore music blasting, making my eardrums explode. I don't want to stay here forever. I don't want to stay here and survive. I want to LIVE. I want to go back, or at least die trying. I want to see how my family is doing right now. I am pretty sure that they are worried that their daughter had been missing for the past few years. And I missed everything; the gadgets, food, school, sleepovers, and music.

Music...

It's been a very long time since I heard music that I even forgot the feeling of hearing it. 

Five minutes had passed and it almost seemed like an eternity. I stared for so long at the cream-colored wall that it felt like I was burning a hole through it. My eyes felt stingy and tired. I snapped out when the doorknob twisted, followed by the bathroom door slamming open. The fresh and glowing Blade (At least he doesn't sparkle like Edward Cullen) went out in his white Sleeping with Sirens shirt, black skinny jeans, black converse, and a couple of ballers.
