Missy Bradford was in her bedroom, it was currently 1:16am and she couldn't sleep. She definitely couldn't sleep after what her parents told her, but they told her that everyday, and she's gotten used to it.
Since she couldn't sleep, she quietly changed into gray joggers, a white t-shirt and a gray coat, she slid on her black and white converse and quietly opened her window.
She looked back at her bedroom of course, glancing at her clock, it was now 1:23am , im definitely not coming back until six o'clock in the morning, she thought.
She looked out her window, inhaled, exhaled, and took off. Ready to smoke some cigarettes and talk to someone whom she considered a friend,
but she had no friends, but she liked to believe it was okay, and soon she'll have a bestfriend that'll take care and love her with all their will. She then laughed at herself, I'm so pathetic, she thought.
She went into the only diner that let teenagers smoke, partly because they didn't care. But it wasn't any diner. It was kind of abandoned , only a few people knew about it. It really isn't a diner, but since it's called Mel's Diner, Missy called it that .
She considered Mel's Diner home. It was where she felt at home.
After about fifteen minutes of walking, trespassing private property, she finally reached Mel's Diner. She opened the door, walked in, took a seat and waited.
It would probably take seven minutes exact though, since people didn't really know about the place, the employees didn't bother to check every five minutes to see if they had a customer, they'd find out if they had a customer to attend because of the cameras they had in the 'diner'.
Finally, after exactly seven minutes, she saw the person whom she considered her only friend .
"Hi, I'm glad you came earlier than usual, cigarette?" Blue asked Missy.
Missy gladly accepted and lit up the cigarette with her lighter.
"You're quieter than usual, what's up?" Missy asked. She's known Blue for about 3 ½ years, but they didn't become friends until like, a year ago.
"Hm? Oh no no, it's early that's why, I'm not in the mood to become fidgety or be the drama queen I am, partly because you're here way earlier than usual, you don't come until three, so yeah. And partly because it's-" Blue glances at the diner's clock that they have up and continues, "1:45am." She finishes, exhaling, because she talks way too fast.
I chuckle at her cuteness, and I put my cigarette on the floor, stomp on it, and make my way to throw it away in trash bin , I wasn't in the mood, I was in the mood for food I couldn't afford.
And as if Blue could read my mind she asks if I want food, and I deny. She rolls her eyes, calls me stupid, and goes behind the counter for employees or whatever, where they take your order.
She comes out twenty minutes later with two trays , one has chicken tenders, french fries and a strawberry shake. The other tray has a grilled-cheese sandwich, french fries and a cold water bottle .
"Here you stupid cute piece of shit, it's on me, don't worry about re-paying me or whatever. If you're ever hungry, tell me! And I'll give whatever the hell you want, me and my parents aren't gonna make you pay, especially if you don't have money and ESPECIALLY if they're fond of you. Don't you see it? They love you! They'll do anything for you since you're my friend." She rambles on while I eat my french fries.
And suddenly I stop, my mind starts remembering something important that she said ... I take a while to remember but realization hits me , she called me her friend.
a/n: this is third-person and sometimes in Missy's perspective , it switches and if you have a problem, guess what? I don't care! Anyway I don't know where this book is going but yeahh. btw this was supposed to be published 2 weeks ago :) enjoy this shitty crap
