"I'm going to be in so much trouble!" I giggled holding onto bailey. The alcohol in my system was definitely effecting my vision at the moment. I was seeing double of everything and it was blurry. "You shouldn't have downed all that vodka" she said putting me in the back seat of my tahoe. "Look the full moon. Ahoooo" I howled like a wolf making myself laugh. Nobody else seemed to get it though. Gosh nobody watches wolf man anymore? "Come on let's get you home before Kelsey gets home" she sighed. "No let's go get jay why didn't he come he should have come" I told her. "No his brother is our English teacher!" She gasped. "So" I said. "Let's go home" she whispered buckling me up. "You're such a good friend to me I love you" I giggled. "Wait say it again I didn't hear you" she said driving away. "Kelsey, I love Kelsey" I sighed leaning my head against the window.
Walking across the street bailey gasped. "Don't go over there come here!" She snapped quietly. I laughed holding my arms out running around the street. She chased after me only making it more exciting for me. "You're going to be the death of me" she chuckled as I swooped in the driveway of my neighbors. I stopped dead in my tracks looking into the woods behind the house. Two glowing green eyes stared back at me. I closed my eyes and shook my head. I had to be imagining it. No light is reflecting over here why are they glowing. "Come here puppy" I said bending down. "Nicole come on where do you see a dog?" She asked. The glowing eyes were now gone making me confused. "Let's go Kelsey gets off in 30 minutes!" She hissed dragging me along. I just shook it off skipping to my house. "I'm so tired are you tired?" I questioned. "Yes I'm exhausted" she sighed quietly.
"Morning" Kelsey smiled as bailey and I came down for breakfast. I just nodded sitting at the table. "Mark said the two of you didn't get home until 4 this morning is that true?" She asked. "Depends on what my punishment is" I giggled. "Give me your phone you will get it back at the end of the week" she hissed. Oh shit she's mad. "You're also grounded. School home that's it!" She screamed. "Dude chill out" I sighed. "You come in at 4 in the morning and you want me to chill let me guess you were drinking too?" She asked. "No!" I yelled. She can always see right through my lies. "Two weeks for lying to me!" She screamed. "Kelsey!!" I snapped. I can't believe this! She's being ridiculous. "Get ready for your game, bailey I'm sorry you need to leave" she told my friend. "You're being ridiculous I came home!" I screamed. "See you later" bailey said. "You're such a hypocrite!! You did way worse things as a teenager I'm a good kid why can't I be a normal teenager you were!" I snapped. "I was in so much pain Nikki I would have done anything" she told me. "Guess what I feel the same pain you do! I lost my patents too! I have the same hole in my heart! I hate you!!" I wailed running up the stairs.
"She's being so ridiculous I don't even know what to do I know for a fact she went to the black lagoon when she was my age." I sighed as we waited at the back of the court to begin our game. Kelsey and mark sat in the front row just staring at me. "Just get your head in the game we can assess the situation later." Remi smiled. Yeah that's easy for them to say. I've never told my sister I hate her before. I groaned walking out of line. "Ryland!" Coach yelled. The guilt I felt made me want to cry and I never cry. Kelsey stood up as well meeting me halfway. "I'm sorry" I told her as she hugged me tightly. "I'm know we will talk later have a good game" she smiled. "Get back!" Payton told me. My knee pad slid down a little but I didn't want to pull it up in front of everyone at the moment. "Feeling better with all those teenage hormones running around in you ryland? This is a game nowt Dr Phil!" Coach yelled making everyone laugh.
"Look jay came to watch" bailey smirked looking around me. I turned my head to look in the stands and sure enough him and Mr lunason were sitting next to my sister. I wiggled my brows towards bailey. I know she likes jay. I can almost put money on it. The other girls set the ball over quickly. Jumping up I spiked it down letting it bounce on their side of the court. The crowd cheered for me as we rotated. "Ryland serve" coach said making Sarah give me the ball. She's not to good at serving but everything else she's bomb. I served making it over before running back to the court it came back over heading straight for me. "Mine!" I yelled taking one step. My knee pad slid down to my ankle as I dove for it. As soon as me knee made contact with the floor I felt it shatter. I wailed in agony as I hit the floor the girls surrounded me. The entire gym fell silent the only thing that could be heard were my screams of pain. "Move get out of my way!" I heard kelsey. I just kept screaming I've never been in so much pain. "Give her some breathing room" coach said gently. The paramedics that were standing by sat next to me. I bit my lip to stop from crying. The pain was so intense I've never felt anything like it. "We're going to get a chopper out here she needs to go to new Orleans regional now the it's sunk in she will need surgry I can tell you that much" one said.
It didn't take long for the helicopter to show up. They brought the stretcher in. "Girls move!" Coach snapped. As soon as the circle of people that had formed around me cleared and they helped me up. Everyone stood and cheered clapping their hands. I don't see why though. "All hail queen ryland!!" Remi wailed. It was something they came up with our freshman year when I was the first ever freshman to make varsity. "All hail queen Ryland" the crowd yelled clapping their hands together. "I'm right here love okay" Kelsey sniffled stroking my hair. I was scared. I don't want to go through surgry. I'm out for the season no doubt about that. I just had to focus on anything but the excruciating pain I felt in my knee. "Kelsey!" I snapped. "Relax honey okay everything is going to be fine I promise" she cried. Why was she crying? I'm the one about to be care flighted to have surgery. I'm not crying nor would I. I'm not a cryer.
