Happily Ever After

(Brittany's Pov)

They say that one day in your life, you will get a chance to change it. You will face your biggest opportunity and to grab it by the hands. They say it will be legendary and you will get your happily ever after story.

"BRITTANY"

yeah, well I haven't gotten mines yet. I mean, yeah I'm only 20, but I need something. Something to show me that I'm going in the right direction and that I didn't waste my whole life chasing after a dream that won't come true.

"Hey four eyes, the boss is calling" I hear as a paper ball is thrown at me and I sigh. I get up from my office desk and look around me. The place is usually pretty hectic but today, half the staff is out on a report, the other half is fooling around and just finding stuff to do. I walk to my bosses office only to be tripped and I hear snickering. I turn and look up to see Sebastian the asshole.

"Yes" he growls and I just keep quiet and continue to walk to the office. I knock on the door before he waves me in on the phone and I sit and wait. He gets off the phone and he sighs.

"Brittany......why are you here" he says and I frown, not fully understanding the question.

"Do you have family in the area" he says and I nod no.

"Do you have a boyfriend, girlfriend" he says and I nod no.

"I'm just trying to figure out why are you here. You come in everyday and stay until midnight. You clean up everyone else's work but refuse to do your own report. Don't get me wrong, you have worked your ass off and it shows forth, but don't you want to be more" he says and I just look down. He sighs in sympathy at me and just watches me.

"I have a new exclusive coming up and I want you to do it for me" he says and I look up and frown.

"Santana Lopez is a country known model and yet people have no idea where the hell she goes at night. I want you to find out for me" he says scribbling some things down and I frown.

"Sir, wouldn't you want someone like Jessie or Sebastian doing an exclusive this big" I say frowning and he looks up at me.

"You have potential Brittany, you just need someone to push you. I'm going to help you to find it. I want you to start today. Can you do that for me" he says and I frown.

"Yes but sir......."

"Great. I want a report next week" he says and gives me the look. The look that says you can leave now and I sigh in defeat. I get up and open the door to see Jessie watching me.

"Did he fire you four eyes" he says and I try to walk past him only to trip over my feet. Everyone laughs in the office and I just sigh. I walk over to my desk when I hear the guys talking.

"Okay four eyes or smelly shelly" karofsky says to Sebastian and he smirks.

"I'll just have to wear a gas mask I guess" he says and they laugh as I just sit in my chair. My eyes start to water and I lay my head in my hands as they continue to make nagging comments and jokes.

"Brittany I said I want you doing the Lopez case for me. What the hell are you still doing here" my boss yells and I quickly pack up. I hear comments from everyone about how they exactly feel.

"Why does she get the case"

"I bet she would be repulsing to Santana"

"No way she will come out successful"

"Why the hell would he choose her"

"Four eyed freak must've freaked Vic"

"Honestly that would be the only way"
