Kid

I always wondered what happened to the kid who used to be always happy, always giggles and smiles. Who didn't have a single care in the world.
I wonder if that kid's gone because of what happened; A family member who was a little too friendly and always liked to touch them. Who said that the kid deserved what the family member did to them.
Or was it when the kid was older and wary of people? Meeting a man who treated them like royalty, who made it seem like not all people are bad. But after the first few weeks the man became violent. Emotional and Physical abuse was his way of saying I love you.
Two years later the kid had trouble trusting people and needs to be constantly reminded that nothing bad is gonna happen again. Who has flashbacks and nightmares about the past. But after all that happened the kid met a wonderful person and that person taught the kid how to love again and how to trust.
The kid is slowly getting used to affection again and now is starting to be all smiles and giggles once again....But soon after that, the person betrayed the kid, breaking their heart and causing them emotional trauma. The kid is once back to where they were; scared, distant, and most of all..unlovable..
