Chapter Three

"Come on, you can tell your mom," she winked.

"Errr, his name is Ross," I looked to the side, trying to hide my blush.

"

Oooh, is he your age? Is he handsome?" My mom always does this, she always acts like a seventeen year old.

"I don't exactly know him that well, but anyways I'm gonna get to bed, I'm tired, night," I yawned. It was half past ten, I had a late night last night and got up really early this morning to go for an early walk along the beach with Ellie, my best friend.

I walked up the stairs and brushed my hair and teeth, I washed my face and got into my pyjamas. Just after I turned out the lights, my phone buzzed

Rossy<3: Hey Emily, really nice to meet you tonight, hope everything is okay, would you like to meet up tomorrow? My family and I are having a picnic on the beach x

Me: Hi Ross, it was lovely meeting you too, and yeah feel a lot better now, I would love to:) as long as I'm not interrupting any family time..? X

Rossy<3: I'm glad you're alright:) and no, it's fine, they really want to meet you;) meet me by the park at 12:00? X

Me: Okay, see you there x

Rossy<3: See you:) x

Wait...so his family want to meet me? Does that mean he's told them about me?

No way Emily, why would he do that?

I thought to myself, yeah, he probably didn't. I smiled, I was meeting Ross again tomorrow...! But his family will be there too...I'm nervous...

I woke up the next morning after the best nights sleep in a long time, firstly, I could smell pancakes, yum! Secondly, well....I WAS GOING ON A DATE WITH ROSS! I slowly say up and looked at my phone, there was a message from Ross,

Rossy<3: Morning Emily, can't wait for today:) x

Me: Morning Ross, me neither;) x

I got up and stumbled to the bathroom, tying my hair up in a messy ponytail before walking downstairs.

"Morning beautiful," My mom smiled sweetly. I inhaled the delicious smell. My favourite smell of all time.

"Mooorrrnniiinnggg!" I almost shouted. I was happy. Too happy.

"Someone's in a good mood, how's that Ross?" She winked at me. I smiled sarcastically.

"Wellllll..." I started, before walking over to the kitchen side and stealing some pancake. Mom tapped my hand away jokingly.

"Wellll..." Mom wave her hand in circle, signalling for me to carry on.

"He's invited me to a picnic with his family," I shrugged, acting as if it wasn't much of a deal. I took my plate and say on the table.

"Oooooh," She winked at me. "Emily has a boyfriend! Emily has a boyfriend," She chanted.

Wow, she's annoying.

"What you wearing?" She walked over an joined me whilst I ate.

We talked about my outfit and my hair and stuff, before I walked up to my room to get ready. I was wearing, short denim shorts, a nice white vest top with layers, some simple black sandals and to finish, some bangles. My hair was wavy/curly in a plaited waterfall hairstyle. When I was finished, I sprayed some of my favourite perfume on, 'Prada' I walked into my mom's room to look at myself in the full length mirror, just to check my appearance, like you do!
