"I have to find a way out of here," I told myself in a hushed voice.  I closed the hatch in the back of my head, and I got up from the seat, which still had traces of Oswald's blood on it.  I had to get to Eva so that she could make sure Silas couldn't control me.  I didn't even know if Eva could help me.  It was a long shot, but I had to at least give it a shot.  Coming up with a plan would be a little bit harder.

There were no obvious ways to get out like a window or something.  I tried breaking through the door, and it was impossible.  I looked to the machine behind me, and I was thinking about sending a signal through the cameras.  But how?  They were cameras.  I could only watch with them.

I turned to the machine, and I got a hologram out of it.  It was a between for the feed from the cameras into the computer processor in my head.  Sadly, that was all it could really do.  And, I was worried that if I plugged myself into that thing, I wouldn't be able to get out.  I was in a partial state of paralysis while hooked up to it.  If Silas came back to find that I was on line, trying to escape, he would have destroyed me for sure.

             New plan.

I started to pace as I tried to come up with other options.  However, there were none.  I was completely trapped, just what Silas wanted, just what the humans wanted.  The burning fire of hate grew brighter and brighter every minute I spent in that city.  My fist started to clench, and it dented the iron of my palm.  I relaxed my hand suddenly, and I realized how strong I actually was.  Oswald was right when he said I could be invincible if only I had a little more confidence.  The only problem was that no matter how strong I was, Silas had full and utter control over everything I did. He was superior in strength and mental capability and just plain confidence.  Confidence.  I was many things, but confident was never one of them.

             There was no way out.

However, I practically jumped out of my skin as the door unlocked, and three human soldiers stormed in.  I backed up to the wall.  I was terrified that they were going to destroy me.  They had an impossibly easy shot to make.  If they wanted me destroyed, they could have done it five times over.  But no one was shooting at me, which was a pleasant surprise.

A woman walked through the crowded door way.  She radiated important.  She was wearing a long, flowy, elaborate dress, and her darker hair was pulled neatly back.  She looked cautiously towards me, but she was never afraid, unlike the terror I was experiencing.

"I'm going to make a deal with you," she announced.  "Given that there's a 3,000-dollar bounty on your head, I would listen to my offer."

"Who are you?" I wondered cautiously.

"My name is Minerva Hark," she introduced.  "I'm a senator for the city of Eden."

"What do you want?" I asked.

"I'm looking for evidence that another senator, Harrison Weston, is conspiring with Silas," Minerva explained.

"What are you going to give me if I help you?" I negotiated.

"I'll let you go," she said simply.  "I won't tell anyone about your freedom."

"I saw him with Silas," I stated.  "They were going to The Void Zone after they kidnapped a girl by the name of Octavia Reed.  They were meeting with the rebellion there, to talk."
