a dark night in an attic, that's where it all started.
A young boy crying in the dark.
The sound of a storm crashing on the roof.
The sound of a broken family echoing through the halls.
Sorrowful yelps seeping through the floor of the attic.
"What did I do?" the boy would cry out and lean on the wall.
The thing is, It isn't what he did.
It was never his fault, or his family's fault.
The home was deceitful, the truth and lies echoed throught it.
Each battling for dominance under the other.
The truth can be a very dangerous thing,
but so can lies.
Lies, are special though, they can save you from the truth,
the very thing that keeps some bound under lock and key.
There's something about them that shadows you from
danger, it can set you free when you're really trapped.
You can lose your way, and still be saved.
It was on that night, the young boy in that attic realized this,
he had the power of truth or lie. He pressed his thumb under
his eye, where a bruise had been starting.
He would forever know the truth, but he would do everything he could
to protect the ones he loved, the ones in need.
From the truth.
He'll be a liar.
The Liar.
