Party Time

Amelia's p.o.v.

I was getting ready for the party when I heard Magnus and Elias arguing about staying here and helping protect or going to the party and meeting with the shadowhunters. I was going to the party no matter what so it didn't pertain to me. Magnus came to my door and told me to hurry up.

Later at the party

We had seen the shadowhunters coming our way and we got ready to negotiate. "Magnus, Amelia", Jace shouted. "Clary Fairchild", Magnus said. "You've grown into a beautiful young woman, just like your mother", I said. "Magnus and Amelia Bane, so you're the one who stole my memories", Clary said. "At your mother's request. She knew the risk", I said. "Show me the jewelry, shadowhunter", Magnus said. "Ooh...Give Clary back her memories, and you get the jewelry. "I have to confirm it's authenticity", Magnus said, "Amor verus numquam moritur. True love cannot die. Oh, how I've missed this jewel." "Now it's your guys turn to pay up", Clary says. " I wish we could retrieve your memories, but we no longer have them", I said. "What? Where are they?", Clary asks. "I feed them to a memory demon for safekeeping", Magnus said. " And why the hell would you do that?", Jace says. "To protect Clary and the Cup", I said, "If Valentine ever captures us, he would torture Clary's memories out of us. Just like he tortured Dot." "Tortured?", Clary asks confused, "Wait, is Dot okay?" "You don't know?", Magnus says. "Dot is dead", I said. "What? How do you know?", Clary asks. "We can't feel her magic anymore", Magnus said. "Valentine killed her because she would not betray your mother", I said in a sad tone. "Oh, my God", Clary says. "Come with us, Clary. Our lair can offer protection no shadowhunter ever could", Magnus says. "No!", Clary exclaims, "No, I'm not going anywhere with you." "Don't be a fool. Your mother would want you to live", I said. "Then help me get my memories back from whatever demon you gave them to", Clary says. "Valentine is hunting you, too. And every moment we're outside our lair's protection, is a moment Valentine gets closer to finding us ", Magnus says. I make a portal with my magic. "Come with us", I say, We won't offer again." "No", Clary says, "No, I won't hide from my problems and neither should you guys." Look out we all hear. Magnus and I turn around and see a circle member behind us with an arrow in his chest and a dagger. "Who are you?", Magnus asks as Izzy and Alec show up. "Magnus, Amelia wait! You're my only hope", Clary says. "Valentine found us.", Magnus said. "I warned your mother this might happen", I said.

"Wait..", Clary says as Magnus enters the portal. I stay behind so I can get a drink from the bar, specifically a martini when Izzy shows up on my side. "So what can I do to get your number", Izzy asks. "By dancing with me, only if you want though", I said. "Ok I'll do it, but first give me your number", Izzy said. So I gave Izzy my number and after our dance, I went back to Magnus and I's lair. As soon as I walked in Magnus was just sitting on the couch glaring at me. "I know you like that Izzy girl, why didn't you tell me?", Magnus asks. "Because I know how you are when it comes to shadowhunters and before you say anything she's different than the others", I said. "Ok that went better than I thought", Magnus said. Magnus and I have already cleared everyone out because we knew Valentine was too close to our lair. Then a circle member showed up out of nowhere. "Your magic is strong warlocks", the circle member said, "Much stronger than that horned weakling I killed this morning." "Elias?", Magnus and I say at the same time. "That was his name. Well, lucky for us, he sold you out before I took his warlock mark", the member said. As we are fighting him he says, "Cat's eyes. Be a nice addition to my collection." He grunts in pain as an arrow lands in his back as Magnus and I shoot him with some of our magic. "Well done", Alec says. "More like medium-rare", I say. "I'm Magnus, I don't think we've been formally introduced", Magnus says. "Alec", Alec says, "Oh, uh... We should really...You know, probably get..." "Right, we should join the party", Magnus says. "Right," Alec says with an awkward tone. "This fight is far from over", I say. Magnus and I go into the other room. "Magnus, Amelia", Clary says.

Fast forward to summoning the demon

As Magnus and I moved everything to the new lair. "Help me", Clary says. "We can summon the demon, but you must make the demand", Magnus said. "Now I warn you...retrieving your memories will not be easy", I said. "I believe in payment for services rendered. Thank you for defending the warlocks", I said. As I take out the necklace out of my pocket and show Isabelle. "I couldn't", Izzy said. "Oh, but you could. And you should. The Lightwoods have been wearing this for years", I said. "Besides, this would look silly on your brother", Magnus said.
