Your P.O.V.

"Dad...what's happening to me...?" I asked, breathing in sharply. The left side of my ribcage burned, blood was gushing out onto my hand.

"Nothing Y/N...just stay calm okay? You'll be fine, just stay with me." My dad pleaded. His strong arms wrapped around my broken down body, picking me up.

I looked around, seeing flashing lights of blue and red fill my vision. Cops were running around in mass chaos. But instead of hearing sirens... I heard my heartbeat...and my dad's. My dad ran me into an ambulance, placing me on a stretcher.

"What happened?" A paramedic asked, while quickly examining me. A flashlight shined into my eye, making me see small dots around me.

"Hit by a bullet..." My dad said while biting his lip. He was shaking in fear. I didn't like seeing him like this. My dad was Jim Gordon, best detective G.C.P.D. has, and quite frankly I felt like I was holding my dad back from his work.

"I'll be fine dad." I reassured him with a smile. I hoped this would be enough to convince him to go help the cops outside.

"If you think that's gonna get rid of me...then you're wrong kiddo." He chuckled. "I'm staying here with you."

I nodded, realizing there was no point in trying. My senses were coming back, but the pain was still there.

"What's your name?" Another paramedic asked me.

I turned my head to face him. He had a clipboard in his hand and may I say...he was quite cute.

"Names Y/N, Y/N Gordon." I said with a bright smile. The paramedic nodded and jotted it down.

"Well Y/N, the wound doesn't seem that bad, but you're going to need some surgery." The same paramedic told me. I nodded at him. It wasn't my first time getting surgery and it wouldn't be my last.

The ambulance's sirens started ringing, racing us towards the hospital. My dad scooted closer to me and grabbed my hand.

"Probably should of been more careful huh jellybean?" He chuckled. I sticked out my tongue at him in a playful manner.

"Can't help it dad. My instinct is to just go at it. Not really a thinker." I shrugged. A needle entered my right arm, stinging a little. I looked up to see the paramedic injecting me with it.

"This should make you sleep. It's for the surgery. It should kick in right away." He explained. He was right. I felt my eyelids start to get heavy, and my body was getting drowsy.

"See you on the other side kiddo..." Were the last words I heard.

Beep Beep Beep

My eyes slowly opened. The whole room was dizzy, making me start to wonder where I was.
I noticed a figure walking up to me, yet I couldn't quite get up.

"Y/N...can you hear me?" The blob figure asked.

"Who are you?" I asked squinting. The figure started to come more into focus by the second but not completely.
