Honeypaw was awoken by her mentor, Silversplash. Apparently, they were going hunting with Firegaze and Quietpaw.
Silversplash, Firegaze, Honeypaw, and Quietpaw went different directions. Honeypaw saw a sparrow and dropped into a hunting crouch. She pounced but missed the sparrow, which flew off into a tree.
"Your doing your crouch wrong." A tom said.
She turned around and saw Quietpaw looking at her.
"It is? Can you show me how to do it correctly?"
Quietpaw then showed Honeypaw how to do the hunting crouch correctly. Quietpaw told her to try catching a piece of prey again.
Honeypaw spotted a mouse. She used her new crouch and she successfully caught it. The apprentices met up with their mentors and took the prey back to camp.
Back at camp, almost everyone was hissing. Honeypaw was confused, she padded up to the group and saw two cats that were not from the clan.
"What's going on?" Honeypaw asked Dawnpaw.
"Kittypets are here." Dawnpaw growled.
She looked closely and she was right, they definitely smelled like kittypets. RiverClan has dealt with kittypets before, back when Honeypaw was 4 moons.
Cinderfrost went and got Spiderstar. The kittypets and Spiderstar discussed a few things away from the group.
"Stormflower!" Spiderstar called.
Stormflower padded over to Spiderstar and the kittypets. Honeypaw could see her eyes widen and glance over at Honeypaw, then at Dawnpaw.
The small group padded over to Honeypaw and her sister.
"Listen, we want our daughters back." One of the kittypets stated, looking at Spiderstar, then at Stormflower.
"Why would your daughters be here?" Dawnpaw snarled.
Stormflower forward, parted her jaws and then spoke.
"Honeypaw, Dawnpaw, these are your parents."
The kittypets smiled and Dawnpaw snarled. Honeypaw wasn't sure how to react, the sisters had known they weren't born in RiverClan. They thought they were from another clan, like WindClan.
The male kittypet spoke. "Will you two come back with us?"
"No." Dawnpaw snarled.
"But- But we're your parents!" The female replied.
"Why do you want us back if you gave us away?" Dawnpaw snarled.
The kittypets stepped back, full of shock. Spiderstar spoke,
"She's right. Why do you want them back?"
The kittypets looked at Spiderstar, and then at eachother. "They don'tknow why they want us back." Honeypaw thought.
"We'll take our leave." The male stated.
"We will take our kits too, unless they want to stay in this wretched place." The female stated.
"I won't come with you." Dawnpaw snarled.
The kittypets looked at Honeypaw, who had been silent for this conversation.
"I'm not coming either." Honeypaw said calmly.
The kittypets lowered their ears and left the camp back into their kittypet home.
Honeypaw padded away and into the Apprentice den and went to sleep.
