Juliet slowly sat down at her desk and ignored the sharp pain from her legs. The bruises were still in the middle of healing and the cuts had just begun to scab.

Juliet pulled out her quills as she avoided the burning gazes of her friends. She had made eye contact with Harry, who had smiled at her, and she went to sit across the room, away from them.

Professor McGonagall stood at the front of the room and began her lecture. During the whole class, Juliet concentrated on getting all her notes written, they were painfully perfect.

When class was over, Juliet quickly ran out of the room, only to run into the new Potions teacher.

"Terribly sorry," he said.

Juliet shook her head, "My fault, wasn't watching where I was going."

"Not to worry...?"

"Oh, Juliet. Juliet Lestrange," she said.

The professors eyes widened, "Lestrange? Fascinating, you wouldn't happen to fancy coming to my office for a little party?"

"A party, sir?"

"Yes, for my little club."

"That's a generous offer sir, but I'm not entirely sure," she hesitated.

"Only the best of the best get invited Ms. Lestrange. I would love it if you would come."

Juliet slowly nodded, "Fine. When is it?"

"Tomorrow night. I think a Friday night would do much better than a school night."

Juliet nodded, "I'll be there then Professor."

"Excellent!" he clapped his hands and walked away with a skip in his step.

Juliet shook her head as she watched the odd man leave. She turned to walk to the Great Hall for lunch but saw the trio standing down the hall. She felt a lump in her throat as she headed back to the common room instead.

Juliet picked at the food on her plate and sighed sadly. The party consisted of everyone talking about themselves. Professor Slughorn would talk to a student and if he got bored, he would move on to the next one.

Ginny had been invited but Juliet had made sure to sit between two other people and out of plain view of her.

Professor Slughorn raised his fork to his mouth, "Ms. Lestrange," he swallowed the bite, "tell us about yourself."

Juliet rolled her eyes, "Not much to tell. Everyone knows who my family is."

"Right, of course. But tell us something interesting. Your parents must practice Dark Magic, do you know it as well?"

Juliet played with the hem of her dark grey dress under the table, "In a way I suppose, could I perform it? No," she lied.

He nodded, "What do you see yourself doing once you've finished school?"

"I haven't given it much thought yet," she eyed him suspiciously.

"I'm sure you'll follow in your parents footsteps," he pushed.
