In fact if you combine the two you would have kairi's weapon in a nutshell. Aside from that. The weapons detach and form a surfer board. Both rideable in the air and in water. The board has many other key features such as Firing mode Water mode Air mode And detached weapons mode.
Firing mode is where both the arm cuff and feet cuff can be fired as guns (as seen in the show)
Water mode is where water can be shot in two forms. Solid or liquid, the water can reach volcanic hot or Antarctica cold.
Air mode is simple, it's where you use a strong force of air to push your opponent back, or prepare yourself into the air. It can cause a lot of damage depending on how you use it.
And detached weapons mode is where the cuffs can form and shift into an enlongated blade held together but a single thread and nano technology. The blade can detach fly at its victim of solitize and become a hardened blade. (Refer to Ivy's weapon from soul caliber)
This weapon boost strength as well. What I mean by that is you can see things you would have never been able to see like a speeding built, you can hit harder then you already did. Say for instant you're a heavy hitter and you put this weapon on. Well you're hitting just increased x's 10. When not in weapons form it appears to look like a normal surf board. (By come one what surfer board have you seen that can fly in the air [refer to sliver surfer])
However when the surfer board is not attached you can't fly or hover.
