I think that everyone has anticipated a conversation enough to have played out what would be said several times in their heads. I recently had one of these conversations that went rather differently than expected. I realized that often we incorrectly predict what others will say due to clouded views of the other person. Especially when the conversation is an uncomfortable one I think we tend to make a characature of the other person. I think this leads to those conversations going differently than expected this r not happening at all. In fact, I think more fern than not the conversation never happens. It is fun to imagine conversations that will never happen but at least In my case I'm think it cultivates a disrespectful attitude towards others who do not deserve my disdain. Perhaps we remember things we said for them rather than things they actually said.
