"Kai?" Seth calls out, "There's someone walking up to the door?" Seth eyes the man, old and but looks in decent shape. He has a short goatee, and walks with purpose.

"Let him in." Kai calls back, she puts back her old grimoire back on it's shelf. She knew about the visitor, she just forgot that he was coming today.

Seth opens the door before the man knocks, his fist raised midair. Seth's always wanted to do that. The man looks surprised, from the door being brutally opened or Seth himself, Seth doesn't know. Seth stares at him for a second before moving aside and letting the man in the house. He closes the door without taking his eyes off of the man.

Kai comes in the room a few moments later smiling. "Alan! It's good to see you." She pulls the man into a hug causing Seth to frown. Who is this man? Seth doesn't like this. "What can I do for you?"

"I need a spell. Old timey magic that stopped being taught centuries back. I know it's a lot to ask, but I can't perform the spell and I'm desperate." Alan's done his research, he needs an old witch. Not just an old witch, but one that practices black magic.

"What kind of spell?" Kai looks at the man skeptically. There is a lot of magic that is lost through the generations, powerful magic that doesn't ge mastered and passed on. She's known Alan since he was a kid, she knew his family dating back generations.

"There's a boy in the pack I'm the emissary for, he's possessed." Alan pauses, "By the nogitsune. I need a spell to split them apart." Alan read a legend about a witch back in early colonial times banishing and trapping a Void that was possessing a man. He doesn't know if it's true or not be has to follow up on every lead he can.

"Shit Alan, a Void Kitsune is bad. But if you call it nogitsune then it must not feed off of nature." She talks more to herself than Alan. Kai becomes quite, thinking about how to help.

"We think it feeds off of chaos and strife." Alan adds helpfully. He watches Seth, who still hadn't said anything, slink over to stand next to Kai. He's still eyeing Alan.

"That makes sense. Okay. Go back to your pack, I will have the spell to you by the end of the day tomorrow." Kai is still brainstorming on different options she could take. Alan obviously didn't want the boy hurt, so destroying the host and spirit all together isn't an option. And if she splits them apart, the Void could still take another host after recovering.

"Thank you so much." Alan steps forward to hug Kai again, but Seth steps in front of her. He lets out a soft warning growl, and Alan steps back surprised. Because no he will not touch Kai again.

"Your familiar?" Alan thought he was just a visitor, let alone a wolf.

"Yes, this is Seth." Kai wraps her arms around Seth's shaking form, he stills but doesn't move from his position in front of Kai.

"I didn't know you had an alpha as a familiar." Alan's eyes shoot up, wolves aren't unheard of as familiars but they are more commonly betas. Omegas and alphas need a little more, extra care and generally prefer to stay with a pack.

"Neither did I." Kai pokes her head around Seth's body grinning. "Looks like you presented bud." She softly rubs her hand across his shoulders to try and calm him down some more.

"Well, congratulations and thank you for your help." Alan smiles once more before backing out of the room, wondering what kind of wolves were up here. Seth is different from the Hale/McCall pack. But then again, the Hale bloodline goes back a long time, and to be fair even though Scott got bit, it was still by a Hale.

"Hey look at me." Kai says softly to Seth, moving to stand in front of him. He tears his eyes down from the door to Kai. She smiles softly up at him, "It's gunna feel weird adjusting with your new alpha instincts but I'm here to help you, okay." Seth nods slowly before pulling Kai into a tight hug. He cringes smelling faint traces of Alan still on her, but it's better than smelling vampire, so he'll deal with it.

"Should we get started on the spell?" Seth whispers after a few moments. He doesn't know how he's going to help, he doesn't know the first thing about magic. He'll have to ask Kai if he can read some of her old books so he can be at least some help.

"Yes. It's not going to be a pretty spell though. I'm gunna really need you after, I don't know if I'll be able to do much." Kai knows no matter what she does, it's going to drain her. To trap a kitsune is hard enough, but a void kitsune is going to be hell. Kai lets go of Seth and steps back. She pats his shoulder before heading back to her bookshelf. Seth follows behind her unsure of what to do.

"I'm thinking we can do a two part spell, the first one to weaken and eject the nogitsune and the second to trap it." Kai begins to pull books from the shelf. They all look old, not that they aren't taken care of, but they are leather bound and the pages look yellow instead of white.

"What would we trap it in?" Seth asks, "Maybe something like your soul gem?"

Kai looks up at him, "That's not a bad idea. Not at all." Seth's going to be a good familiar, she can tell.

They finish the spell hours later, and like Kai said earlier, she's exhausted. They end up doing a three part spell because Kai is extra as hell when it comes to doing spells for other people. Part one is a small glass ball that needs to be broken in the same room as the Void. Once broken a mist will fill the room causing the Void to be ejected from its host. The next part is a gem that will suck the Void into it, it just needs to touch the Void. Once the Void is trapped inside the gem, the gem will fold in on itself, essentially destroying itself and everything in it. A lot of old, black magic was used to ensure everything would go right.

Kai bribed a hawk to fly the gem and glass ball down to Beacon Hills. It only cost her some mice and some nice twigs for the hawks nest. She instructed Seth to wrap the spell (and instructions) in a small cloth, then in some bubble wrap. She tries it to the hawks foot with some rope.

Seth brings her some soup into their bedroom. After their bonding ritual, Kai offered to get another bed or magically build a room for Seth, but he declined saying he can sleep in wolf form by the fire. That never happened. The first night, he did start out in wolf form by the fire but by the time morning came, he was in wolf form at the foot of Kai's bed by her feet. The next night he laid pressed up against Kai's side. The next night they both gave up and Seth slept in his human form with Kai. Kai doesn't mind at all, Seth is very warm and very good at cuddling.

He puts on a movie for her before leaving the room again to clean up the kitchen. He does the dishes, sweeps the kitchen and living room floor, he puts back the spell ingredients they used, and puts the books back on the shelf. He takes the time to call his parents, updating them on everything. Little did Leah know, before the pack showed up that one morning, he had already talked to their parents telling them everything. They were much more supportive than Leah was. He calls them every few days to say hello and see how they are. When he finally does get back to the bedroom, Kai is already asleep.
