As I was thinking this through, I heard something snap.When I turned around, a support beam was falling and heading towards me.

"Oh shit.", I said.

"I forgot about my fucking fabric."

As I muttered that , I was paralyzed.I couldn't move.

I thought to myself, 'Why can't I move ? '

Normally,I would have flown to the side and there.No injuries.Or I probably would have moved the flaming pole using my telekinesis and made a bigger fire.Woo hoo ! Go me !But this time , it was different.Being in this building has begun to take a toll on me.I had difficulty breathing in this smoke.Time seemed to slow down.They say that your life flashes before your eyes. I was skeptical of this saying before but here I am,ready to confirm this.All my memories began to flash in my mind.From working all those stupid overtime hours to beating up those losers in the alley and meeting J'onn. These thoughts broke me from my deadly trance.But,it was too late.The building support pole was about to make contact with my head.

I just closed my eyes for the impact.But,it never came.

'Was it that painless ? Is this just a nightmare I'm having ? Or am I just daydreaming instead of doing work ? '

All of these thoughts quickly made their way into my mind but they were all interrupted by a deep but soothing voice.

"Are you alright , miss ? " the voice questioned.

       My eyes widened.

     'Crap,my hood fell off ! So much for planning a costume.'
