Chapter 19

-still Max's pov-
The large dark brown wolf was trying to get in my way to save My mate. "Get out of my way, Now!" I growl, clenching my fist until my knuckles turn white. I heard the growl at me as if he had a chance. I shift into my wolf form and grab him by the throat. His warm blood and my slobber mixed together. I finally heard a snap and broke the door and down the stairs. Two more wolves waiting for me there, along with my beautiful mate with two other men. My wolf growled out. Right now, my pitiful jealousy could wait.i heard a deep and vicious growl. I could tell it wasn't from the attackers but a extremely large white wolf with glowing red eyes. It's mouth looked as if it was curling into a wicked grin. The two small wolves whimpered, as did I. My tail in between my legs, I have never seen a wolf like this. Terrifying and large. Its atmosphere stunk of blood lust. It glared at the men but when it looked at me, it's gaze softened. I felt a lot less scared of it now, I know who it is. My mate, Eveline. I saw her break out of the sliver bars of that horrible cage she was locked in. Eveline tore out both of the wolves throats and immediately shifted back. Tears coming out of her eyes. I shifted back as well. "I should have never rejected you. I shouldn't have expected that you would be all preppy." My voice full of sorrow and regret. "I love you." Eveline's soft delicate voice said. Her face softened as did her gaze. "I love you more."
