Darkness engulfing everything

The light is devoured

The candles don't flicker anymore

The candles cannot be lit

Rain soaks through

Numbness overflows everything

Cold winds stabs every surface

But no pain can be felt

Scars create a new shell

The past always visible

Entwining with the future

Not distinguishable

Choking on the smoke

Insides burning

There's no way out

There's no light around

Being chased by the past

Facing no future

The storm escalates

The exit dissipates

Too many people are in the storm

Too many people are trapped by the storm
