The carriage ride was silent with Ciel lost in thought. His mind was going over the recent disappearances of the young girls. The one thing that stood out was their social class; each girl was of upper class standing. Either the girls had run away, or they had been abducted. To Ciel, it seemed unlikely that they ran away; if they had, where had the girls gone? It was much more likely that they had been abducted. But the question remained, where were they?
As he pondered this, he almost didn't recognize the familiar short, blonde hair from across the street.
"Stop the carriage!" Ciel shouted. Coming to a sudden halt, the carriage propelled Ciel forward and bumping him against the interior wall. Ignoring this, he climbed out of the carriage to the slight surprise of Sebastian who followed behind. Sebastian was keenly aware of the small toy bunny in Ciel's hands.
There was a slight quickness in his step as Ciel quickly approached the individual and placed a hand on their shoulder.
The individual turned and Ciel was met with the familiar gaze of green eyes, ones that widened in shock.
Before Ciel spoke, he finally looked the individual over. A pair of shorts made him blink in confusion as his cheeks flared red in embarrassment.
"I'm sorry, I thought you were someone else," Ciel said, mentally cursing himself for approaching without knowing for sure who they were.
"Ah n-no it's fine. You're Ciel aren't you?"
A shout interrupted the two as a familiar raven haired male ran forwards, gasping as he clutched his sides.
"You are the one who was with Lady Ozina," Ciel said, giving Gilbert a frown.
"L-lady Ozina is my sister! I'm her brother Oz!"
Ciel's hand was wrapped in a pair of soft palms as his hand was shaken up and down.
The individual who introduced himself as Oz smiled, causing a blush to heat up Ciel's cheeks.
Ciel pulled his hand back and calmed himself while commenting, "You look exactly like her."
"Ah, You think?" Oz gave a nervous chuckle and shifted uncomfortably.
Ciel noticed this and wondered if something was bothering him.
But before he was able to ask, another shout gained his attention.A slim figured girl came racing towards them, meat in her mouth and a gleam in her eyes as she was being chased by several men.
"Alice! What did you do?!" Oz exclaimed, running forwards and standing in between her and the men who were complaining and demanding money.
Alice seemed oblivious to this and continued to eat the meat intensely. Finishing her meal rather quickly she suddenly lurched forward, standing directly in front of Ciel with her eyes peering intensely at his eye patch. Her nose twitched and she glanced up at Sebastian who was silently staring at her as well.
Ciel looked between them, confused as to why they were giving each other such looks.
Alice turned away from Sebastian and said, "I'm still hungry! I want more meat! Oz, give me more meat!"
Racing towards Oz she gave Gilbert, who was standing beside him, a mighty kick in the back sending him flying forward. After standing up Gilbert shouted, "You stupid Rabbit!"
The two of them began to fight while Oz attempted to calm them down, leaving Ciel and Sebastian to watch the entire scene.
Ciel was speechless and began to rub his forehead, his head already aching at the level of idiocy being displayed in front of him.
"Let's go Sebastian," Ciel said, turning away.
"Ah, wait!" Oz shouted, running towards them.
Ciel turned to face him as Oz pointed and asked, "Why are you carrying a toy rabbit?"
"It's a gift...for Lady Ozina,"
Oz's eyes lit up and a light blush appeared on his cheeks. "Really?! I-if you don't mind I could give it to her, I'm sure she'll love it."
Ciel glanced at the rabbit in his hand and then back at Oz. He then handed the toy over before turning and heading back to the carriage.
As he climbed inside of the carriage, Ciel watched as Oz looked at the toy rabbit fondly and hugged it to his chest. This confused him and when Ciel felt the carriage move forwards, he couldn't take his eyes off of Oz who was in the midst of speaking to the two who had accompanied him.
Something about Oz didn't sit right with Ciel but he couldn't figure out what. He looked too similar to Lady Ozina, a perfect replica to be exact. Abandoning the subject, Ciel leaned back in the carriage and closed his eyes, forcing his mind to return to the kidnapped girls.
