stella wasn't sure how long she was out, but the next thing she knew, she was awake and the stars above her were moving. and fast.  she blinked hard several times.
why am i moving? she wondered if her eyes were playing tricks on her. she heard surprised gasps and nervous giggles as she passed by nosey stars. they twinkled at eachother eagerly.
"why am I moving?" stella said out loud this time, to anyone who was listening. she jumped up but quickly fell back down. she held her head in her hands. she was dizzy and disoriented. she understood that she wasn't on her planet anymore. that was about all she could comprehend in the moment. stella apprehensively prayed that she was still in the same galaxy.
stella looked up. she saw pluto approaching fast and she panicked.
"the last stop in the milky way," she muttered as she tucked her legs beneath her and rolled off the moving comet. as she reached out for the cold dwarf-planet, someone grabbed the back of her shirt and pulled her back onto the comet.
"hey, don't do that." an unfamiliar voice said from behind her.
she could tell instantly that it wasn't the high pitched, sing-song voice of the stars.
"it's dangerous, you could have ended up floating around aimlessly for the rest of your life. you wouldn't want that."
stella looked up to see a cute face framed by curly orange hair. "hello, i'm io," the stranger said, "what's your name?"
