"what? what happened? what did you do?" stella looked at io, horrified. she watched as they flew past pluto, her only hope to remain in the milky way.

io shrugged, looking uncomfortable, "i kinda just... i was floating and grabbed on to this thing when it was flying by. i had been drifting for... a while and i took the chance while i got it. i can't control it or anything. it goes where it wants. you happened to be in the way. sorry." io looked genuinely sorry about having brought her along by accident.

she felt bad, neither of them had intended for this to happen and she knew it wasn't fair to blame io, but she was still angry.

stella couldn't see earth anymore. nor could she see the moon, or her little asteroid planet that she called home. even the stars were too  far away. she sighed and rested her head on a rock.

"well, where are we going?" she muttered.

io shrugged. "dunno yet. i guess we'll find out."

"that doesn't sound good." she was irritated at how calm io seemed about all of this. she wanted to get somewhere familiar, somewhere comforting.

"c'mon, it'll be an adventure." io smiled a little, clearly trying to cheer her up, "haven't you ever wanted to go on an adventure?"

she had always wanted to go on an adventure. she'd wanted to travel the galaxy, meet all the stars. even go to earth. she just thought she'd have some time to plan ahead for it. she let out a long sigh.

"next stop," she said, "wherever the heck this thing takes us, i guess." she forced out a small chuckle.
