Jess' outfit for that day ^

Jess' POV

I woke up realizing my place was a mess. I decided I needed to get as much done as possible before I am again overwhelmed with the stress of school and work again. So I got out of bed and put on a nice outfit even though I wasn't going anywhere. What can I say? I guess I was feeling it.

I began to clean around my apartment. I hadn't done that in a while, and as a result there were pizza boxes and plates scattered across the kitchen counter. And let's not get started on my room. Let's just say it was not a pretty sight.

Just as I was about to start cleaning the mess known as my room, my bracelet vibrated. Who could be at my door at this time?? Maddie had said she would be out with her boyfriend Adam. They're probably the cutest couple ever. They've been together for quite a while, and she said he had called her saying it was for something important. She began to panic thinking he didn't want to be with her anymore, but I'm sure it's no big deal.

My thoughts were disturbed by my bracelet once again vibrating. I walked over to the door, opened it, and saw..

Jayden?

Jayden's POV

She opened the door and I stood there flustered. She was breathtaking. She had curves in all the right places, and her skin shimmered and glowed in the sunlight. Every single time I see her it's a whole new experience. Her face always seems to leave me blushing like an idiot. What am I doing? I'm Jayden Sharr, girls fall at my feet, and here I am biting my nails left with nothing to say? She's doing something to me and she doesn't even know it. How is it possible for a girl to make me feel like this?

After several long seconds of deep thought. I realised she'd been staring at me confused. I decided it was time for the apology that I had spent all night practicing for.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know you were deaf or mute and my tongue slipped. I just wanted to get to know you, and when you weren't talking to me I thought you were judging me. It doesn't excuse my actions, but I hope can you can forgive me." I said. In sign language. THATS RIGHT, YOUR BOY JAYDEN DID ALL THAT IN SIGN LANGUAGE. I spent the whole night looking at YouTube videos trying to find the right signs to say that.

She stared at me in shock for a few seconds. I mentally high fived myself for that. Her eyes widened. After a few short moments, she finally composed herself and let out a slow and steady breath. She then started to smile lightly at me, and I automatically knew she forgave me. I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding.

I then mouthed the word "Friends?" and reached out my hand. She shook it while nodding. She motioned for me to come in after smiling and I swear I was on cloud nine. Her smile was everything you could ask for.

I took a seat on one of the couches while she sat on the other. There was a long awkward silence. She ripped a sticky note from the coffee table and began to write. At first I was confused, but then she gave the note to me.

Phone?

Usually I would second guess giving some random person my phone, but I was apparently ready to do anything today, because I whipped my phone out and handed it to her.

She put her number in and gave it back to me.

Jess: I figured it'd be easier to talk here :) I'm Jess!

I couldn't hide the grin forming on my face while I texted her back. We talked for hours about our interests and hobbies, and I couldn't seem to believe I was really doing this. I was talking to a girl and getting to know her like this. It was amazing. We'd smile at each other every time we texted something we could relate to, and we even started drinking some coffee along the way.

I actually ended up laughing out loud because of some of her texts. She was hilarious! We kept the conversation going for hours and hours, talking about the most absurd things. We had so much in common, but at the same time we were so different. I hadn't even realised the time flying by until Jess' friend Madison burst through the door crying.

Jess' eyes widened as she saw the state her friend was in. But then Madison started laughing.

"HE PROPOSED!!" She screamed.

I'm guessing Jess read her lips because her smile widened and she ran to her friend to congratulate her.

And you could just imagine me in this situation. Rather not be in it ever again.

I stood there awkwardly scratching the back of my neck. I decided now would be a good time to leave. I tapped Jess' shoulder ignoring the sparks of electricity I felt when my hand touched her warm skin.

She turned around and I mouthed to her that I was going to give them some privacy and I'd catch up with her later.

"Congrats by the way Madison." I said smiling. I didn't really know her but I could tell she was happy. She smiled back at me and gave me a hug.

"You're totally invited to the wedding," she grinned. When Jess was busy on her phone she pulled me closer to her  "I'm hoping by that time Jess would be your date," she said winking. I was smiling way too much today. I walked out the door feeling satisfied with myself.

I was friends with Jess.
We spent hours talking.
She's amazing inside and out.
I really like her.

A/N : ok this chapter was realllyyyyy sappy, and just so you know Jayden's character is not normally like this. He basically likes this girl so much that he turns into this romantic and sappy person. And if you think he fell for her because of her looks, there's more to it than that. He likes her personality, and something just clicked the first time he saw her.

I promise the chapters will get more intense and eventful. This was sort of just a chapter to get Jess and Jayden settled.

AND MADISON IS ACTUALLY GETTING MARRIED!! YAY HER!

xoxo
