Miranda's POV

I could see those ugly grey shoes at the side of my head and all I could think of was "He really needs some new shoes," along with a "OH SHIT!"

We followed Principal  Kingsley to his office and sat down silently.

"I corrected both of you innumerable times, gave a warning, a benefit of three strikes ; which by the way you burned out quite fast. You leave me no other option. Both of you have to get over whatever petty issues you are harbouring and stop with these pranks. You need to resolve your problems with each other and just stop with these childish pranks. As I promised you the punishment you both will now receive will not be brushed off easily."

And then he said those words which will be the start of The End Of The World As We Know It. Kidding, they just made a drastic change in our lives.

"Starting tomorrow both of you will be sharing rooms, and will be partnered in all the classes you attend together."

I felt like I was going to be sick while for some unknown reason Cole looked as if Principal Kingsley's speech hadn't happened. "Nice joke, Sir. Now what are our real punishments? Brilliant sense of humour by the way. Rooming together. Hahahahaha," Cole said, confidently.

Well now I know why that that foolish boy was acting calm. He can be so dense. Kingsley's expression said ' I cant believe he is so daft' as he said ,"Believe me, Mr.Woods when I saw that this is no joke."

Slowly Cole's calm facade was replaced by horror and he spluttered something unintelligible. That 'IDIOT' on his forehead really described him well.

"Sir, I don't see why I should be punished. From this horrible colour on my hair you can obviously see that he started it," I pointed out calmly.

Outraged Cole fired back."Oh shut up! It is not as if this red you have in your hair s not constantly dyed!”

“You little prick, don’t bring up stuff you are no longer a part of. You f..”

And then Principal Kingsley decided to mediate, “Quiet both of you! You will move into your new room and do not even dare to step a toe out of line or you will be facing expulsion.”

I continued glaring into my lap.

Cole’s POV

“Are you alright, mate?”

Ben’s voice pulled me out of my trance.

“Huh?” was my intelligent reply.

“You had been staring at that weird blue ball in your hand since the past half an hour while Luke was giving a full blown discourse on the pros and cons of sharing a room with a girl.”

A loud and offended “Hey” came from Luke which both of us promptly ignored. “I’m fine. Just got a lot of stuff on my mind.”

“What’s there to even think about? Even if you find her annoying doesn’t change the fact that she is hot. And if you share a room with a hot girl …,” and Luke started off again.

If only they knew the half of it. My eyes went back to that blue ball, bringing back those ancient memories as if it only happened yesterday.

“Cole,” she giggled softly’ “you know I won’t be able to catch the ball if it is not blue.”

I love her laughter.I was one of the few six year olds who did not care about getting cooties from girls. I simply replied,”So let’s paint it blue then!”

And both of us went running towards the paint-set in my room. After half an hour, a floor splattered with paint and a small paint fight we finally had our blue ball.

We went outside and started playing again. She had a weird obsession with blue things and believed that with them everything would go smoothly and right.

“Goldilocks, it’s my turn now.”

“I told you not to call me that.I don’t have blond hair. Stop calling me that.”

“But you have pretty locks just like her even if they are brown. And also just like her you also eat other’s food.”

She stuck her tongue out at me and I grinned at her and the next moment I was chasing her around a tree. And in that moment surrounded by her laughter I felt happy.

That day with her made me experience pure joy, something I haven’t felt since a while now. Right now all I could think of was that this punishment was going to lead to some very interesting things.

Miranda’s POV

It is official, my life SUCKS.Out of all the people in this school I had to get stuck with the one I despise the most.”Oh God, What have I done to make you hate me so much!” I groan internally.

And on top of the room sharing punishment I also get stuck with the weirdest friends ever. For some unknown reason Anna thought that it would be appropriate to publish an article in the Weekly about how Cole and I ‘the mortal enemies’ have to share a room as a punishment and as a cheery on top she added a picture of our food fight. Our school is seriously running out of things to write about.

Isn’t there some law which prohibits high school students from sharing rooms with the opposite gender? Cause if there isn’t then there should be. I really want to get out of this shitty punishment. I mean it was like sharing a room with the Satan’s spawn himself. Being with him during classes is painful enough, but sharing a room with him I don’t know what sort of a catastrophe it would lead to. Looking at him brings back all those agonising memories, all the suffering and the humiliation and this was going to be like a big rewind button being pressed. But this time it is gong to be different. Because this time I will not let Cole Woods make me cry.

Hey! So this is the next chapter. Did anyone see that coming. So what do you think of the bitter past between Cole and Miranda? What do you think did Cole do to make Miranda cry? For faster update you guys have to VOTE and COMMENT.Till the next time    -Ava
