I felt the cool breeze blow against as I ran on the rooftop of the building filling the cool night air surrounding me. This was freedom, these are the moments I love. I loved being here, in the city.
I laughed as I pushed a blonde strand of hair behind my ear, and admired the beautiful view from the rooftop. You could see all the cars zooming through the streets and the neon lights that were splattered across the town. This building was the highest point in town, this building was the place you could see everything. To me everything in this town was beautiful. The lights were beautiful, the cars were beautiful, the people were beautiful and every single building was beautiful, but all towns aren't completely beautiful, there is always the rough parts of town.
I sighed as I took in the beautiful view and walked away from the ledge and scrambled down 16 flights of metal stairs until I reached my section of town. My section of town was filled with drug users, prostitutes and law breakers. It wasn't pretty, but at least it was cheap. I walked through the streets, passing about 6 prostitutes by now and at least 60 drug users. I sighed as I entered my apartment building and strolled to the elevator waiting to go to my small apartment.
"Evening" Josh said.
Josh was blonde haired college student who lived in this apartment building. He was a nice guy, who would occasionally help me out finically, and was always willing to be a shoulder for me to lean on.
"Evening" I said grinning at him as he entered the elevator.
"So, what have you been up to tonight?" He said raising his eyebrow as his ran his fingers through his hair.
"I just ran around the city for a bit" I said as I straighten out my leather jacket.
"Right"he said chuckling.
"What have you been doing?" I said pushing his shoulder playfully.
"Studying" he said shrugging.
"Geez, your life is boring" I said as I exited out of the elevator as it landed on my floor.
"Not to me" he said as the elevator doors closed.
I smiled to myself as I entered my apartment building. It was fairly small and only contained two bedrooms, one bathroom, a small space for the lounge and a kitchen area.
I took off my leather jacket as I threw it on my worn out couch and walked towards my room.
My room was small and contained only a bed and desk, so I could do my art, the other room was a spare room that I never used because I lived by myself ever since my mother died, so I've had no use for it.
I collapsed on my bed as I sighed and looked up at the ceiling. Life wasn't to bad. I had enough money to have a roof over my head and some food in the fridge. Sure I was pretty lonely, but sometimes it's good to be lonely.
I closed my eyes as I waited for sleep to drift over me, until my phone buzzed loudly. I groaned in annoyance as I saw that Ceci had texted me.
Ceci:- Sabrina
Sabrina:-Ceci
Ceci:-Would it be possible for me to come over?
Sabrina:- you are already at my door, aren't you?
Ceci:- Yeah :)
Sabrina:-I'm comingI threw my phone onto my bed as I stood up and walked towards the door. I opened the door to see Ceci in black sweatpants and a white tank top.
"Hey Ceci" I said hugging her
"Hello, Sabrina" she said breaking up the hug as she entered the house.
"Why did you come over?" I said plopping down on the couch.
"I was bored" she said sitting down next to me.
"So, why come here?" I said looking at her as I turned on the t.v
"Because you're the funniest one out of all of my friends."
