Bonus story: BirdStar's regret {On hold}

Part 2

BirdEcho walked into the cavern where the pond of Ancients was "Touch the water if StarClan approves they'll make the water glow and then they will speak to us." OynxWing's bored tone annoyed BirdEcho 'I get that she hates me for what I did to her but she doesn't need to remind me about the most simple thing by, StarClan I even found this place.' BirdEcho bitterly thought. BirdEcho reached down and touched the ice-cold water sending a cold and calm sensation up his spine, a flash of bright blinding light of all colors ranging from the color of the sun and the soft cool color of the river that separates LeafClan and WolfClan territory begun to light up the whole cavern. Cats started to appear after the light dimmed, a reddish lean tom with light blue eyes walked out of the mist 'who is he?' a warm and soft pelt brushed against BirdEcho "that my son, is Revel he came to LeafClan the New-Leaf you were born."        

a soft, calm and gentle voice of a she-cat BirdEcho knew too well spoke up "Wa...WaterJum...WaterJump you're here!" stuttered BirdEcho "yes we're all here BirdEcho...even your father QuailFeather is here." WaterJump's loving purr echoed in BirdEcho's ears 'I missed her so much, just hearing her voice again warms my stone cold heart.' Revel walked up to BirdEcho "yes youngster I've been all over the Clan's old home, your mother and I go way back but... Let's not stand on ceremony friend we're all here to give you, your nine lives!" Revel chimed while swinging his long fluffy red tail back and forth

"Revel has point. Hello, again BirdEcho how's our LeafClan doing? after all my death was quite sudden." A light blue-Gray she-cat asked BirdEcho "CloverStar...LeafClan is well I just wish you had more time as our leader... Since you were a very young cat." Stated BirdEcho "Hmmm... I somehow knew you would respond that way, you're very... Well repetitive to put simply." CloverStar retorted 'of course she would say that!' A group of cats slowly approached BirdEcho "BirdEcho. My name is WillowSong I was an Elder that died defending LeafClan's nursery a long time ago, I give you the life of patience as a leader you must be patient with all cats around you, young or old." WillowSong touched her wet pink nose to BirdEcho's forehead.  
     A sharp headache pained BirdEcho as WillowSong walked away from him " BirdEcho I have watched you for a long while. I'm BriarStar, I give you the life of understanding whether it's understanding one's emotions or pain." said a  brown tabby tom, BriarStar walked forward and raised his paw to touch BirdEcho's chest, then  a large white tom with silver, dark-gray and black calico patterns approached BirdEcho "I'm SwiftKestrel, I give you the life of a father's or mother's love. It is stronger than the wind or river's currents remember that BirdEcho." SwiftKestrel touched his black nose to BirdEcho's forehead.

BirdEcho saw kits playing in camp and MouseStar nursing five healthy kits, the one she-cat looked almost exactly like him except had a darker golden pelt with black spots instead of dark gray spots and didn't have the same stripes BirdEcho had on his long tail, the largest tom-cat was a black and white like BirdEcho's father QuailFeather.  A small fluffy dark gray she-cat licked BirdEcho's check. " hello there young BirdEcho my name is DarkSky. I  shall give you the life of common sense because you won't get anywhere without it!" 

A black and white tom spoke up "Son... I'm sorry for what I did to you, neglecting you... Hurting you I know now that what I did was very wrong and I was wrong to betray WhorlStar and LeafClan I'm surprised they even let me into StarClan and I'm happy you have found happiness I also...  Apologize even if it won't change a fox-dung thing at all." QuailFeather stepped in front of his only son "So... I give you the life of compassion. it's something I lack in and you'll be a much stronger warrior than I'll ever be if you have the kindness in your heart to be compassionate to others." QuailFeather's voice was laced in sorrow and regret while begging for his son's forgiveness "Why? Why did you reject me like that when I was a kit?" BirdEcho asked his father  " I honestly don't know I... I think it's because I didn't know how to be a good father."
            BirdEcho nodded in forgiveness. WaterJump nuzzled her oldest son her crystal clear olive green eyes were watery "My dearest, BirdEcho I love you so much you've grown into a strong and loyal warrior, I give you the life of... Of endurance, you'll need it the young cats of LeafClan are energetic and lively don't forget that. Don't even get me started on  your and MouseStar's kits that I watch over from here." 

WaterJump calmly stated. A dark brown tom with light brown spots on his back and legs approached BirdEcho "my name is CloudLeaf,  I was the cat who founded LeafClan. I give you the life of forgiveness and open-mindedness these two qualities will do you good later on in your life." CloudLeaf said with a stern and stoic facial expression, suddenly a small light gray kit with black spots and light green eyes bumped into BirdEcho's right leg "I'm here, wow BirdEcho... I can't believe that my older brother is going to be LeafClan's leader!" the young kit excitedly claimed BirdEcho felt his heartbreak when he recognized his younger half brother who hadn't made it across the river "Ash...AshKit I missed you tell me what's StarClan like?" "I'm AshHeart now. But StarClan's amazing there's always good hunting, clear warm sunny days, no one fights over borders or fresh-kill at all. I love it here!" BirdEcho smiled a rare, true genuine smile, not the normal fake smile the rest of his Clan saw every day.

The cold Leaf-Fall air revealed how close Leaf-Bare was, soon white snow would cover the dry ground and leaf riddled undergrowth which would make hunting the birds and small rodents that inhabit LeafClan's new forest territory much harder. AshKit pranced happily next to his older half-brother  " Hey, BirdEcho can you teach me how to hunt or fight so I can beat AcornKit, OakKit, BirchKit and QuailKit in moss-ball or tail tag?" 'I still don't understand why WaterJump would name one of her new kits that she had with DustWind after my father, QuailFeather who treated me like a piece of fox-dung and moved on from her extremely fast.' BirdEcho frowned at the thought of his deceased father "BirdEcho! help me!" BirdEcho spun around as fast a bolt of lighting after he heard AshKit's painful, heart wrenching, fearful yowl. a dark gray tom with a gray underbelly and chest that had evil, dark forest green eyes and emerald eyes that sent shivers down BirdEcho's spine as he recognized the large muscular tom that is willing to kill any cat that got in his way.

"WolfBlood stay away from him or else I'll rip you to shreds with my own claws!" BirdEcho growled WolfBlood let out a low chuckle "is that so, BirdEcho you can't kill me like you killed QuailFeather hmmm?" WolfBlood taunted.
