I boarded the train to Hogwarts, occasionally glancing back at my misfit parents in this magic world. Being a "muggle born" in this universe is hard when the only magic you know is from your sixth grade birthday party. I knew i was different since i could change my eyes. Not like shake them or cross them , i can change the color of my eyes, hair, and fingernails. it started with my eyes swirling with purples and greens. I was always an outcast with my bright red hair and overly ambitious freckles. I see several family's looking very in-place, knowing where to go, saying good bye to their children and waving, trusting that the strange school they're sending them to will protect them. my parents waved goodbye at me when i looked back at them, students bustling past me in the same current to get on board. My mom started crying, my father comforting the both of us, holding her, nodding at me to go on, stay strong, Rosie. i heard my dad say, a distant memory in my mind.
I pushed back into the current of children and pushed on following two tall red headed boys bouncing along, occasionally one would look down to his right, probably at someone, considering his mouth was moving. i finally got on the train and carried my trunk until i met myself with a nearly empty cabin. i gently slid open the door and peered inside, just those two red heads and a brown haired boy, probably the one they were talking to.
"do you mind if i sit here everywhere else is ..." i mumbled, the rest inaudible to anyone but me. i looked to the floor and at my cheep shoes. i felt my trunk lifted form my side and i looked up. one of the red heads was putting it into the overhead compartment.
"every one could use a friend or two" he said confidently and making me blush harder than before. i took the empty seat and pulled out my drawing things.
"thanks, i don't know any one here" i said, a bit louder than the last time i spoke. my hair turning black and my eyes blue, my nails tipped red.
"woah," i heard from all around me. i shot my head up and my hair burned red again, nails going yellow, and my eyes turning bright purple. i can usually tell the color of my features by the emotions i felt.
"wicked," the red heads said. i had never got a good look at the other one and i now realized, they were twins. the boy next to me, just gaped at me in awe.
"w-what?" i questioned them, embarrassed.
" your hair and y-your eyes," the brunet to my left whispered.
"and her nails," the left twin said more confidently, like the first of the pair.
"s-sorry, it just happens"i apologized, anxiety pushed into MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE.
" no, no, it's really cool," the boy next to me said, with no hesitation or stutter.
" do you wanna be friends?" the twins said in union.
" i don't know y-your names though.." i stuttered through my sentence, twiddling my thumbs.
"i'm fred" " and i'm george" the brothers said separately, "weasley" they said together. i looked to the boy next to me and he whispered "neville" only looking me in the eyes as a glance begging for approval, i would know, that's my signature look. i nodded at him and smiled. " i'm rose" i announced, now confident around my. new friends. neville mirrored me, along with the weasley boys. " It seems as if we have some fun times ahead." george stated matter -of- factly.
