donghyuck //

i slugged my bag over my shoulders and headed out to school. the long roads made my head spin and feet ache but i would never even think of burdening other people with my own problems.

what felt like thirty  minutes –but was about two and a half hours later–passed and i rolled into the school grounds. jaemin and jeno were waiting for me at the front gates–arguing as per usual.

"all i'm saying is you can be an idol!!" jaemim shouted at the slightly taller boy. god not this again.

i smiled over at the two boys–not wanting to be apart of their dumbest argument, and most frequent.

"ahh! donghyuck!" jeno shouted i looked up at them, as they were a few stairs ahead of me. "tell me jaemin is prettier"

"i'd love to chat guys, i have work i need to do" i lied, i'm just going to go sit in the library and read some anime books.

i walked with my head down and books held closely to my chest. i walked the curvey hallways all out of memory and hopes i don't hit someone.

the silence of the library was almost deathly. few eyes shot up as the front door loudly slammed behind me, i smiled apologetically
to the ones staring and headed to the back of the room.

the elderly librarian looked at me from over the counter.

"here again i see, donghyuck." she said. she leaned over the counter and looked over at me, he large necklaces clanking against the counter top. "i expect you to read not just sleep with a book over your eyes" she eyed me down, i smiled meekly at her words.

she laughed and leaned back. "if you want i can recommend some books"

i shook my head "i think i'll find something" she nodded.

"if you need any help i'm always at the front desk." she looked away from me and down at her computer screen.

i headed to the corner of the room and scanned some of the books that lined the walls. nothing caught my eye.

i picked up a random blue book, summer of the monkeys, the ugly child on the front holding a uglier monkey made me completely ditch the book.

i grabbed another book, not bothering to look at the cover nor the title, i didn't really intend to read it.

the pages seemed bland and boring. nothing special to the words, they matched half the other books lining the shelves.

i looked for the first empty table and decided to "read". i sat alone at the hard wooden table and stared at the pages. bland and boring—just like me

i was gonna make it like he finds a book and completely ruins his life with it but that wouldn't go to well with the whole book so maybe i'll do that for another story ;)
