that wretched place had burned down, you and your son are the only survivors, maybe you can even start over, though, you know you can never escape your past, it will always haunt you, always scare you, always taunt you as it takes your loved ones aw...

So introducing, your son!
ECHO!
My son, Echo, let out an ear-piercing wail, I jumped from the noise but quickly recovered and huddled closer to him. The scream must have caught someone's attention because a fire man walked into the alleyway, he looked at me shocked and walked over to help me. I got up shakily, my son asleep in my arms. The man helped me walk and guided me out of the alleyway, even offered to carry Echo, I of course said no, but it was a nice offer.
We made our way to a place called Grillbys, once I was inside warmth enveloped me like a soft blanket, I sighed and sat at the bar. The place was empty except for me and the fire man, presumably Grillby. Speaking of which, he walked up to me, handing me a plate of fries, I hungrily ate them, saving most of them for when Echo wakes up. Grillby looked at me longer before walking into a backdoor, I could hear the ringing of a phone, who was he calling?
My attention was drawn to the huddled boy in my arms, he was looking up at me with ruby red eyes. I scratched behind his dog-like ears, he leaned into my touch with a smile, he whispered, "where are we?" I smiled and whispered back, "somewhere safe." He looked at me doubtfully, my smile widened, "now what do I always say, little one?" He giggled and rolled his eyes playfully, "do not question nor doubt, for mother knows best." I chuckled, "I'm sorry, I didn't quite get that, what did you say?" He giggled, "mother knows best!" I squealed and clapped my hands, "yes, yes, I had heard correctly!" We both giggled until Grillby came out, I glanced at him, questioning who he had called. He sat across from me, speaking, somehow, "I'm having a friend pick you up, I don't have room in my house so you'll stay with him for awhile" I nodded, curious who his friend was.
We both talked about little things, like where I came from(I didn't tell him either way), how my son was, and about his friend. Our conversation ended when the door was opened, was this his friend?
I looked towards the door, shocked by the tall skeleton, he glanced at us,
"Hey"
Finally done
