The Naïve and The Perv

I.2 INTRODUCTION CLASSES

I feel excited and nervous all at once. This is the real deal and perfect time to meet all my classmates. I only got a glimpse of a few of them but I guess I'll get to know their personality today. I hope that I'll make a lot of friends.

After a lot of preparation and eating, I was set to leave. I arrived in the university after about 30 minutes of jeepney travel. Our building is in the center of this HUGE school therefore, I had to walk for about 10 minutes to arrive there. Bummer, I am a sweaty kind of person. I probably look haggard by the time I get there. "Too bad, I didn't get Genie's number yesterday.." I whispered to myself. Suddenly, I heard my phone ringing *beep beep, it was a text message from my only admirer when I was in high school, Paulo.

'Good morning Red!'

It was quite surprising since the last time I saw and heard from him was when I was in third year..

Flashback arc

"Ate Celine why are you taking me here?" I asked my senior from our Chorale as we were walking towards the Narra tree at the farthest corner of our school. A lot of couples go there to have privacy but no PDA incidents have occurred yet.

I saw a tall fair-skinned guy sitting in its batibot. He has ordinary features but he does not look bad at all. He looked nervous but it was actually quite adorable. Ate and I stopped in front of him and he looked at me. With a faint quivering smile and a blush on his cheeks, he greeted me with a shy "hi".

I felt my heart skipped a beat.

*Dug dug dug, doki doki doki.. Is this what I think this is? Is this where a guy finally confesses to me? Oh my God! What should I do?!

"Uh hi.." I awkwardly smile at him. I got so nervous thinking that he really might tell me something I have never been prepared my whole life since I never experienced a confession up to this point. I was quite loss for words when Ate Celine introduced us to each other. "Red, meet Paulo. He is my classmate in 4-D and he told me that he wanted to meet you. Paulo, here she is.. say something!" she said in a mischievous voice and nudged Paulo on his elbow. I notice that he looked like he was about to burst or something. We made eye contact and then...

HE RAN LIKE HE WAS SO AFRAID. I got quite shocked at what he did that I just stood there gaping at his place before. A few silent seconds occur and when I looked at Ate Celine, she seem like she was about to face-palmed herself. "Oh my, I'm sorry Red.. hehehe you see, I think you already notice that he has a crush on you but uhh haha he's just too shy. I already gave your number to him if you don't mind hehehe. I'll just go and look for him!" with that she immediately ran off leaving me alone under the Narra tree. Before she could fully disappear from my line of sight, I faintly heard her shouting these words "Paulo!! You're such a coward! Get back here and be a man!!"

'So much for hoping that I'll finally get someone to confess to me and experience what my friends have.. Maybe I'm such a sore loser in love.' I sigh and went back to going to the canteen.

End of Flashback Arc

Ever since that day I still notice him when he was still a fourth year student wherein he would be smiling meekly at me or just running when I get too close. Although he does text me sometimes (which I would reply) suddenly he would disappear. I thought he was cute and nice but he has no guts. I was near the CBAA building when I decided to reply to his message. "Good morning :)"

And as expected, he didn't reply at all. Today was just another class orientation so only the freshmen are present in the campus. I was looking through every door while trying to find Genie. Our class is in BAP101. Luckily, it was still 30 minutes before the orientation. When I went down the basement floor where the guard told me that this is the location for that classroom, I noticed the sign on one room. BAP101! Yehey! I found it. I looked through the glass door and noticed only 2 students inside. The first one is a small girl with a petite body and tanned skin. Her face is small and round. She seems to be minding her own business meaning she doesn't know the other guy on the center of the room.
