Booth POV
"Hodgins, am I doing the right thing? God I know I am, but I'm just so scared. What if she gets cold feet. What if she leaves me? Oh god, what if-" "BOOTH, CALM DOWN. You're gonna do great. Stop with the what if questions, just go out there and wait for your soon to be wife." Breathe in, breathe out. Ok. Now just got out there and stand. I walk out and stand where the priest tells me. After what seems like 5 minutes, the music starts playing.
(Play video now) After the flower girl walks down the beautiful walkway, gracefully throwing the red roses, I see her. Brennan. My beautiful bride-to-be. My breath hitches in my throat, and I look past her at the audience. Everyone in the pews couldn't stop crying. I felt my self tearing up, and I smiled at her reassuringly. Brenna walked down the path, her dress trailing behind her like a shadow of beauty. When she stood across from me I lifted off her veil and looked into her beautiful blue eyes, and looked at the specks of green in them. I looked at her flawless skin, and her soft, pink lips. The priest started talking, and soon enough he said it was time for our vows. "I worked really, really hard on my vows, but now that we're here... Look, hey, do you remember the last time that we were here? Standing right around this spot, it was right in the beginning before we really knew each other. I was trying to get away from you because you were irritating me and you chased me down and you caught up to me. I said to you, 'Listen, I just have to get all my ducks in a row,' and then you said to me, 'I can be a duck!' We have been chasing each other for a long time. We've been chasing each other through wars and serial killers and ghosts and snakes. Chasing you has been the smartest thing I've ever done in my life and being chased by you has been my greatest joy. But now, we don't have to chase each other because we caught each other." I say, choking up a little, and smile at Brennan. She grinned back, unfolded a piece of paper, and started reading. "When Hodgins and I were buried alive, we each wrote a message to someone we loved incase our bodies were ever found. Hodgins wrote to Angela and I wrote to you. Dear Agent Booth, you are a confusing man. You are irrational and impulsive, superstitious and exasperating. You believe in ghosts and maybe even Santa Claus and because of you I've started to see the universe differently. How is it possible that simply looking into your fine face gives me such joy? Why does it make me so happy that every time I try to sneak a peek at you, you're already looking at me. Like you it makes no sense, and like you, it feels right. If I ever get out of here, I will find a time and place to tell you that you make my life messy and confusing and unfocused and irrational and wonderful. This is that time, this is that place." She finished, with a grin that could put the Cheshire Cat to shame. "You may now kiss the bride" was all I heard before I pressed my lips against Brennan's and melted into her. The kiss couldn't have lasted more than 10 seconds, but it conveyed so much meaning, so much love. This is it. We're married now. She's mine forever. I pick her up and carry her all the way to our car, and we head off to the honeymoon.
