Once I arrived to my run-down apartment building, I rushed pass the main office, up 15 flights of stairs, and to apartment. My backpack fell from my shoulders to my right hand, dropping it as I lazily flopped onto my bed, letting a deep sigh," Another eventful day..."

I sat up on my bed, leaning against the bed frame as I reached into my pocket for my phone. I swiped it open, going onto Angelina's contact. Since all I had to do was homework, I pressed the face time button as it began to ring.

It took a moment for Angelina to pick up, but when she did, she seemed to be in a panic," Lucifer? What is it?" She asked, her voice low as a whisper.

" I just wanted to call since I was bored." I answered casually, trying not to act worried.

" I can't talk right now..." She replied, looking up from her screen, as if she was checking if the coast was clear.

   " Hey, are you-"

" ANGELINA! Where are you!?"A deep voiced boomed from the other end, causing even me to jump up with surprise and fear," Who are you talking to?!"

" Father, I can explain..." She said, looking back up at her screen as she held onto her charm necklace tightly.

" No excuses! I've told you to never touch her things!" Her father shouted, his voice filled with rage.

Angelina's face was paler than usual, tears forming in the corners of her eyes. I could hear steps come towards her," Father wait-!"

" Angelina!" I shouted, but the call had ended, leaving me starring at a black screen. I felt worry build up in my chest,"...What just happened..?"

I got up from my bed, pacing back an forth in my small apartment. I tried to make sense of what just happened, why was Angelina's dad so furious?

-----

It had been a couple of hours since the call, and I could barely do anything but worry. By now, the sun had already set, and the city glowed with all the street lights.

It was a pretty sight to see from my window, but I of course, took no notice of it as I stared at my blank phone screen.

I had finally decided to call her again, hoping she'd pick up and be alright. God...I'm just so worried she's hurt, her Father sounds like a maniac.

The phone began to ring once more on Face Time. Why face time you may ask? Because I need to see her face, I need to see if she's really alright, and knowing her - which is only a little - she seems to hide her pain with her smile, so that no one can worry about her.

How do I know this? Because I see the pain in her eyes, a smile can hide someone's pain like a mask hides a persons face.

"Come on, Come on. Pick up the damn phone." I growled in frustration," I swear, I'll find where you live and check on you myself if I have to."

   Connecting...

I bang my head on my bed frame as the phone continued to ring," Agghhh..." I moaned," Pick up the phone....!"

As if on cue, Angelina picked up the phone. From where I could see, I was placed on a nightstand or small desk since my view of Angelina was her on her king side bed.

Though her room was dark, I could perfectly make out Angelina flawless figure. She wore a white t-shirt that revealed her arms to me, and what I could tell, her arms had in fact faded scars and bruises. Her crystal blue eyes shinning through the darkness, but they seemed red as if she had been crying " Hey Lucifer..." She greeted in a small tone,"..what's up?"
