I woke up the next day not focusing on anything thinking everything was normal and I had a normal day but I forgot I've been invited to a party.
" Good morning mom".
" good morning Mad's have any plans today?".
" Yea I've been invited to a party".
"Party?".
"Yes mother".
"Well are you going?".
" Yes".
" who's party is it?".
" The jocks ".
"What and you think your not a target". She scuffed
" what do you mean?".
"All the boys at your school ALL HAD A CRUSH ON YOU and you think they won't try to flirt at this party". She says with her hand motioning quotation marks.
"Well mom I need to get my mom off things".
"Okay Mad's".
"Bye mom I'm gonna be late for school".
"Bye love".
I start to walk away trying to make outfits in my head i think of all the clothes in my closet. As I get closer to school I see a couple of jocks on the football field I continue to walk until I get to my new friend "the bench" I sat there everyday ever since me and Benny had our little disagreement.
First block started and one of the jocks re invited me to a party I was already invited too. I soon see a girl with brown curly hair.
"Okay class I want you to meet Sofia she is a new student so treat her with respect. umm Sofia would you care to introduce yourself?".
I soon hear a soft but mid pitched voice answer back.
"Yea sure my name is Sofia I'm from Santiago, Cuba "
"She's really pretty". " I want her to be mine". "Everyone knows Benny is gonna steal her". Chatters from everyone. As Sofia talks all audio fades away and I start to feel the sorrow kind of come back I instantly stop feeling sorrow and start feeling animosity but save my mood for another time. We all get up to leave as the bell rings.
"Wassup shorty"
I turn around thinking I was the one being cat called but it was Sofia being cat called by the least expected which was Benny. I turn around and glare at him. I walked home and felt all the emotions in the world as if I was bipolar. I finally get into to my house and decide to run upstairs and find something to wear, I decided to do a half up half down for my hair and wore a short white shirt that did not go over my pants with blue jeans with the bottom of the pants rolled up a little just to the lower part of my calves with classic dirty white Nike air forces.
As I text my mom to tell her I'm going to the party she tells me to be responsible i grab my jean jacket and head out. I walk past Benny's house and decided to go knock on the door. I knock and a few moments later the door opened.
"Uhh who are you". Sofia said as she answered the door with an attitude.
" I'd rather keep that to myself ". I make my way in past her. she scuffs I go upstairs while she sits in the living room, I open Benny's door and there he is laying down.
" hi ". I say thinking he wouldn't want me here.
"Hey Mad".
IM SHOOK!. He finally wants to talk without an attitude I sit there silent he starts to sit up and pats the space next to him. I walk over to him and sit next to him.
"How are you?". He ask's
"Fine how are you". I said
" well why are you all dressed up where ya going...".
" To the Jocks party".
"What , No you're not".
"Yes I am".
"Why?".
"Because I'm trying my hardest to get over you, After you stating that our relationship is over I wanna get over you".
"I never said that I said I love you I truly do but you come and yell at m------".
Sofia walks in and rudely interrupts.
"Hey Ben"
"What's wrong". He says annoyingly
" nothing but who's this chick ".
He glances at me and looks at her and says, "My Girlfriend ".
She seemed shock but I was right with her. "Girlfriend".
" I don't stutter".
" yea but you cat called me earlier".
"I cat call everyone your not that special".
She suddenly throws the nearest thing at him. She grabbed a statue of babe Ruth and threw it at him.
"GET OUT NOW!".
"Don't mind if I do".
He holds his statue in his hand while he admired it.
"Girlfriend?".
"Girlfriend ".
"Why?".
" well I had a talk with my mom and she was very upset that I would even think about letting you go."
"Oh".
"I love you Madelyn and I'll try my best to not be a jackass".
" means a lot and i love you too".
" well I'm coming to this party with you".
"Wait quick question"
"Yes".
"Why was Sofia here?".
" so basically she wanted to meet my mom cause she found out me and my family were Cuban too.
"Oh ok we'll get dressed if your gonna come".
A few minutes passed and Benny came out his changing room looking really sporty.
"Ready?".
" yes ".
