Hey, guys! I chose to post this early as I LOVE this book so far! Just letting you all know this is not a true story! None of this has happened me or anyone else I know xD Anyway hope you enjoy xI see Max in the distance. He looked magical sitting there. It had been a while since we last talked face to face. He texted me yesterday asking to meet up. I replied almost instantly. Was I too needy? Oh well... Never mind! The main point was I am here now. I throw my bike in the old, rusty rack and unclip my helmet. I quickly run my fingers through my hair and smell my breath. I look perfect. Well, at least I thought I did. I walk over to the green park bench Max was sitting on, under the large old oak my friends and I used to climb when we were kids.
"Hi!" I say, giving an awkward wave.
"Hey, Katie..." He says in a low voice. I sit down beside him. There was a short silence.
"The weather is nice today, huh?" I say trying to pretend nothing bad is happening.
"It's alright I guess." Wow, what a reply Max. What a good reply. "Listen. Katie. I have been meaning to talk to you." Oh my gosh! What if he wants to move forward in our relationship! He might pull out a ring! My face glows.
"I am breaking up with you." He says quickly. My smile fades.
"Oh." I stand up and look at my bike. "Well... I thought you were bad at sports!" I yell at him as I race walk back to my bike. I jam my helmet on, not even bothering to clip it. I try to move my bike from the rack, but it wouldn't budge. I try harder but nothing. Oh no... I look up at Max who was staring at me. "Mind if you could help me? My bike is kinda stuck..." I say blushing furiously. He walks over and with one push my bike was out. I look at him.
"Katie. It wasn't you, it was me." He says.
"KISS MY BUTT!" I yell hopping on my bike and peddling the fastest I have ever done in my life. A tear rolls down my face. I am pretty sure it was a tear, or it could've been sweat. I am pretty unfit. I ride down my gravel driveway and push my bike down to the ground. I throw my helmet down beside it and run inside. I sprint through the lounge and up the stairs. I turn the corner to see Theo, leaning against the wall.
" the matter crybaby?" He says grabbing my arm.
"Let me go Theo."
"Waaa waa waa. I stubbed my toe!" He mocked.
"That's not the reason I'm crying Theo!" I yell.
"Then what is it."
"Leave me alone!" I say brushing him off. He watches me as I run into my room and lock my door. I dive into my messy bed and sob. Why did he break up with me? Was it the new shoes I bought? I knew they had too much glitter! Did he not like the new conditioner I used two weeks ago? Did he see someone more pretty than I? Oh, I don't even know. There are one million reasons he would break up with me. Millions. Why did he have to wait for the first day of summer? Couldn't he do it on the day I got grounded 3 weeks ago? So many emotions were flying through my head at this very moment, I couldn't think. What a great way to start of the summer.
I enjoy writing this story so much, and I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I do writing it! I have so many ideas for coming up chapters, but if you want to leave a comment saying what you want to happen next, I may use your idea and I will give you credit!
Thanks to Hannah if you are reading this, for your great support and feed back!
Also one last thing, I know I said I would stick to my time table but for this story I have chosen to upload as I please, which means maybe 2-3 chapters a week. I love this story a lot and love to share it, so look forward to a whole lot of more chapters
! Have a great day!! xoxoxo - SnazzyK
