Grojband: The Prequel

Chapter Eight

"Core, why do I have to be the one that spies on Trina?" I ask.
"Because you will understand all her girl junk, since you are a girl," he replies.
"Oh, you finally noticed," I snap.
"Huh?" he says, oblivious as ever.
"Nothing," I mutter.
"Ok then, GO!" he says. I sneak over to Trina's window and peek through it. I can see Trina and that other girl, Mina.
"OMG Mins, I cant believe I'm back!" squeals Trina.
"Yeah, I missed you so much! But you never did reply to my text messages while you were gone," says Mina.
"Ugh. That was because my un-awesome dad wouldn't, like, let me. He wanted to keep us moving a secret and junk," grumbles Trina.
"Oh. Ok then. Anyway, have you met Hunky Nick Mallory? He's so cute and he has the best hair," inquires Mina.
"Um, no. Like, show me a picture of him," Mina gets her cell phone and pulls up a picture of Nick. I cover my ears as Trina lets out a ear splitting squeal.
"Oh. Em. GEEE! He's so dreamy!! I have to go meet him. MINA!! LETS GO!" The girls stand up and I gulp. As soon as they open the door they'll see me. I put my hands behind my back and start whistling nonchalantly. Trina and Mina rush out of Trina's room without giving me a second glance. I sigh in relief. 
"Lanes! Come down and tell us the juicy gossip," says Corey. I walk down the stairs and sit between the guys.
"Well, apparently they're going to go meet 'Hunky Nick Mallory', whoever that is," I tell them. As I say this, Kin and Kon snicker. I look at them with an icy glare. "What's so funny?" I hiss.
"OK, mental note: Don't laugh after Laney says something," says Kin, his eyes wide. "We weren't laughing at you Laney, we were laughing because Trina thinks she can get with Hunky Nick Mallory. He's the most popular guy in Trina's grade and all the girls like him. And Trina's chances with him are pretty slim if she acts like she does to us around him."
"So what should we do?" I say.
"That's obvious Lanes. We follow her of course!" announces Corey.
"Is this part of your crazy plan that just might work?" asks Kin.
"Yes it is, Kin. Let's roll out Grojband!"
~SPYING ON TRINA TRANSITION~
We follow Trina and Mina to the park and sit behind a bush as Trina goes up to Nick Mallory. We're far away, but we can still distinctly hear Trina flirt with Nick.
"Oh, hey Hunky Nick Mallory! I'm Trina Riffin and I moved here a month ago!" Trina gushes. We can see her batting her eyelashes at Nick.
"Nick Mallory welcomes you to Peaceville Trina Riffin. Nick Mallory also invites you to come have lunch with him," says Nick.
"Oh, like, yay! Where are we meeting?" asks Trina.
"Nick thinks that the perfect place for a welcome lunch would be at McMellows. Nick likes their cheese burgers. But Nick doesn't like pickles,"
"Oh yes! That's the perfect place! What time will I meet you there?"
"Nick Mallory thinks that 1pm would be a suitable time for Nick to meet Trina for lunch. Meet you there Trina Riffin." says Nick as he walks away.
Trina squeals. "Wow that was, like, so easy! MINA! SUDDEN APPEARANCE!!"
Mina appears out of nowhere and asks, "What happened with Nick Trina?"
"I, like, totally scored my first date with Hunky Nick Mallory!! We're going to McMellows for lunch. And you'd better bring your purse!"
Corey turns to us. "Success! Now, Operation: Totally Ruin Trina's Date With Hunky Nick Mallory And Get Her To Go Diary So We Can Turn Her Words Into Wicked Lyrics is now in *big inhale* play!"
"Cool title," I say.
"I know, bro! Now, lets go to McMellows and get set up!"

What is Corey's crazy plan? Why does he want to ruin Trina's date?? Why haven't I been updating? Well the answer to that will be in the A/N....

A/N: Hello bookworms! I am so so so so sooooo sorry I haven't been updating recently. I have been at my grandma's house and I haven't had any Wi-Fi (I know, torture). However, I have been working on TWO other storys and I will be publishing one of them along with this one as soon as I get back to my own home and have Wi-Fi.
