Mia:

"Mia! Eric McDaniel has been constantly glancing towards our table for almost the entire lunch period." Ray said while picking at her fries.

The statement was true, but Ray didn't know exactly how long Eric has been staring. It was Monday when Eric started being a total creep with his eyes and it was now Thursday. Eric, would stare in the few classes we had together, in the hallway, and even during games.  At first I thought something was wrong with me. I felt like I had a huge pimple that only he noticed, but after a close inspection of myself by Ray, I realized Eric was just being a creep.

"Ray, has Josh mentioned anything about Eric and his staring?" I said as I  finished my pizza.

Ray and Josh had become quite the couple. He asked her on a date Monday and asked her to prom through cupcakes at dessert. Ever since then, you could find the both of them within five feet of each other.

"No, is the staring happening outside out of lunch?" Ray said as her green eyes widened.

I fill her in all about the staring.

"He hasn't said a word to you to all this time?"

When I shook my head to indicate a no to her question, Ray said "He probably likes you."

Eric McDaniel liking me,was a crazy thought. He was the guy everybody loved and he had no reason to like me.
"I don't think that is his reason, but I am going to find out." I said while getting up to walk over to the jock table.
"Mia, wait for me... " Ray yelled after me.
Eric:
I had been looking at Mia for about four days. I know that I was staring to look like a total creep. I wasn't staring at Mia  because she was beautiful, that was just an added bonus, but because I knew it would drive her crazy. She would have to know exactly I was staring and come talk to me.  I need Mia to talk to me first.  Partly because I was a little nervous to talk to her and the other part was that I need her to be invested in me. That day when I first saw Mia,  Monday,  I asked around about Mia.  Mia have had a few boyfriends, but none of the relationships lasted long.  When ever a relationship of hers ended it was done by Mia.  Mia would say 'there was no reason for us to be together', whenever asked why she ended things.

Now it was Thursday, I was sitting with most of the basketball team and soccer team at lunch. I was burning a hole in Mia's leather  jacket with my eyes.  My boy,  Aaron,  realized I had been staring at Mia during most of  lunch.

"Why don't you just go over there and ask that girl out? " he said ask he placed a spoon full of chili in his mouth.

"I would, but that is Mia Thompson." was all I had to say to get Aaron to drop his next spoon of chili right out of his hand and back into the bowl.

"Dude are you for real? " Aaron said running his hand through his shaggy brown hair.

I shook my head yes and filled him on my plan. As I finished, I saw Mia pull at  her jacket and stand up.  Her friend's eyes were wide open, as Mia fixed her long black hair and turned to face me.  She placed a smile on her face and started to walk towards my table, with Ray falling behind.

"Dude look like you got what you wanted." Aaron said when he noticed the two cheerleaders approaching us.  "This is going to be something. "

"It sure is. " I said as I placed a smile on my face and watched as she walked across the cafe to me.

Mia had a bang that sort of hid part of her face and the rest swayed behind her as she walked.  Mia was about 5'7 and had curves in all the right places. Rumor had it she was a model. Mia was every guy's dream.  A dream who just pushed my starring forward out of his seat,  so she could sit right in front of me to chew me out. I am one lucky guy.

"Boys of the various sport teams. " Mia said looking around the table, telling them to give her their attention with her brown eyes.

"Your beloved captain,  Eric McDaniels,  is being a real life Facebook stalker."

When Mia let those words the entire table started to laugh.  But Mia wasn't finished, "If you could see your Facebook stalkers in real life they would be staring at you like total creeps.  This is what Eric has been doing to me for like..  how many days Eric? "

"I think about three days" I said to Mia hoping to speed up my humiliation and get right to my plan.

"Three days, seems about right.  I just came over to find out the reason for the visual assault from you Eric. So Eric,  what's your reason? " she said leaning back in her chair and gesturing for me to explain.

This was point were I got to implement my genius plan.

"What do you mean. There isn't a reason." I said copying her and leaning back in my seat.

"Of course there is a reason,  no body stares at someone with such dedication without a reason." She said as her facial expressions showed how aggravated  she was. "So tell me the reason, and  I won't be to harsh on you, Eric. "

"Mia why does there have to be a reason. " I said as I arranged all my trash onto my plate.

I leaned closer to Mia across the table and said "Sometimes there isn't a reason".

I picked my plate from the table and I headed towards the door of the cafe.  My table was silent as I left, not knowing exactly what they should  do.

"Eric," Mia yelled at me.  I turned back to face her. "if you just wanted to ask me out you could have just asked".

Mia stood up from my table and walked over to me.  When she was standing right in front of me she looked into my eyes.  "You can take me out tomorrow, after the game. I am a vegetarian and don't like to go to the movies on a date. " Mia said, then stalked out the door.

Mia:
I couldn't walk out of the cafe quick enough.  when I exited the cafe I ran around the corner and into the bathroom.  I looked in the mirror and took a huge breath. I heard footsteps coming closer and I knew it was Ray, she always knows we're I am at.
"Mia." Ray said when she saw me looking in the mirror. "That was amazing.  You were all 'I have all the power and just ask me out' and stuff. But I thought you said you didn't think he liked you. " she said looking at me.

"I didn't  I was fishing for the real answer.  I just made a big fool of myself,  now if he doesn't take me out tomorrow I will be the laughing stock for the rest of the year."

I said hitting the sink, which was a bad decision because it really hurt. I turned to sit underneath the hand-dryers.  Ray came and sat next with me.

"You should have seen his face,  he was totally shocked. He isn't an idiot, he is going to take you out tomorrow. "

"Do you really think so? "

"Yeah,  on my sidekick honor. " Ray said placing her right hand on her heart and her left hand in the air,  making me giggle.

"Thanks and your not a sidekick.  Your my hero and best friend. " I said hugging her.

"No need to say all that.  But I am pretty awesome". Ray said laughing along with me.

We sat there for a while giggling for no other reason but the looks on each other's face. I think there was some truth to what Eric said about some things not always having a reason. The bell rang signaling that it was time for us to get to our next class.  I got up and helped Ray up.  As Ray got up,  she said "So what are you going to wear? "
