I awake to the doctor coming in and opening the windows. "Good morning Sunshine!"

" Uhg, what time is it?" I wipe my eyes and sit up.

" About 8 am." he checks his watch, then sits on the chair by my bed, " Now I need to ask you a few questions."

" Ok." I say quietly. I'm kind of surprised that I'm still here, not in my own body. I pull the blanket up to my knees.

He puts his clip board on his lap and clicks his pen. " What is the year?"

" Um, 2016."

He looks up at me surprised. He smiles a confused smile, then writes something down. "No, uh, it's 2000."

"What?!" my eyes widen. "No way." I say quietly. The year I was born. Oh, my god! I was born yesterday! Oh, my god!

" Um, yeah, it's weird because most people who make up a story to cover up amnesia are set in the present or past." He says in an airy way. " Ok. Do you know your middle name?"

" No." He writes that down too and whispers under his breath.

" Ok. Now we are going to talk about your arm." He puts down the clip board. " You see, " He picks up my arm, which is in a cast. " It's broken here, " he touches the middle of my arm. " and here. " Which is closer to my wrist. " It will take about 6 weeks to heal. We will check in on you in three weeks, after your discharged. Now, "

He removed the stethoscope from his neck and put it to my chest. " Breath in, and out, ok." He did it in a couple other spots. " Good. Your parents will come and get you within the next hour, so get ready to leave. Here are your clothes." He points to an outfit, folded on a chair. "If you need anything, push this." he points to the button on the wall, then walks out of the room.

I take the outfit into the bathroom that's attached to the room. I put the cloths down and look at the mirror. I'm shorter than I was. I use to be 5', 7", now I'm about 5', 5" in my opinion, I'm cute, I'm small and frail looking, skinny, porcelain like skin, and beautiful pale green eyes, like the doctor said. My strait, red, hair falls down to my waste.

The outfit was a simple white t-shirt with a flower covering half of it and black slacks. I put it on, which was a little difficult, then walked out and sat on the bed. I opened the book I started last night. I was about half way through it.

I was another chapter in when my " Parents" walked in. " Hey honey, we're gonna leave, are you ready?"

"Uh, " I mark my page, " Yeah. " I make sure to grab the other 3 books, then follow them through the hospital. The hallways are busy, people walking all around and whispering, trying to be quiet so the patients could rest.

I followed my Parents like a duckling following the mother duck. I've always been uncomfortable around a lot of people and cling to people I know. They stop at a large white desk and talk with the woman, then sign a paper. We leave the hospital and I breath in the cool air. It was still fairly warm, with a nice cool breeze. It was about 9 am and the sun was bright.

We walked to a small, gold car. I sit in the back seat. Dad starts the car and Mom starts to speak to me. " Are you feeling alright, Darling?"

"Um, yes. " I say quietly.

There was some silence, then Mom spoke up again. "Um, Robert was worried about you, he'll be happy to see you."

" I look forward to meeting him." I reply, thoughtfully. Mom turns to the front, but I think what I said made her sad or disappointed.

Dad tries to lighten the mood. " Um, so we are thinking about getting you back in school in a the week after this up coming week."

"Yeah, that sounds good." I won't know anyone there, or where we are in class, well, I was a freshmen last year, I've learned everything, but is what I learned the same as they teach in 2000. Pluto's still a planet. I don't know if she - I - am taking advanced classes, or anything at all really.
