I vacuumed the floor of my living room while I wait for my friend to arrive on Earth. She said that she would come to her new home, Earth. Her parents are overprotective of that. I have no idea how she managed to convince them so that she could live with me! But I thought that questioning it would be rude. I also didn't want the chance of her living with me to be ruined by that one thought.
Looking around, the place seemed pretty spotless. "Serling!" I called into the hallway. Serling is my robot guardian. He was built by my father before he disappeared.
Serling came through the doorway. "Yes, Master Cody?"
"I've just finished vacuuming the living room for Starlee's arrival. Are the guys here yet?" I asked, hoping it was a yes.
Serling bleeped. "I'm sorry, Master Cody, but your friends are not here yet. Thank goodness..." the robot mumbled. Serling doesn't like my friends. Their names are Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo. In my opinion, hanging out with them is always a blast! They're ninjas in fact. I haven't had friends like them before.
I sighed in disappointment. Serling doesn't really understand how much I loved hanging out with them. But I always ignore the fact, because Serling is one of my friends too, and I don't want to pick a fight with him for various reasons.
"That's okay, Serling. Thanks anyway," I pluck up the cleaner and snap my fingers. It instantly rolled into the cabinet where it belonged. "How much longer until Starlee gets here? I'm running out of things to clean to keep me from checking the time now and then."
"She should be here in about a half an hour. Are you sure that you can wait that long?" Serling teased, knowing that my patience gets thin very fast.
"I believe so. In the meantime, I'm going to check on the guy's transportation. Hopefully they can make it on time. They're Starlee's friends too." I fluff up one more pillow before passing Serling and running into my lab.
Once I reached the lab, I noticed something a little unusual. Turtle X was hooked up to my main computer! It could blow it up! Running towards it, I immediately gripped my hand around the plug and took it out carefully. I open up my lap top and checked to see if anything was wrong. Luckily, it wasn't.
I wiped the sweat off of my forehead. "That was a close one," I said aloud. "Now... Let's see who could've done this.
Typing on the keyboard, I click on the security camera icon. Once it loaded, I checked today's date and time while I was cleaning. It had to have happen during that time. The security monitor fuzzed, then showed a clear colored screen. The lab appeared, with everything normal, but then I saw something I didn't want to see.
Serling messed with Turtle X! \
I did a small grunt as I slammed my fist. I turn to the door and walked out of the laboratory. I was going to have a talk with him.
"Serling! Serling, where are you!?" I called at the top of my lungs.
"Yes, Master Cody?"
"Why did you mess with Turtle X?"
Serling seemed confused by my words. "I messed with Turtle X?"
I angered my face. "Don't play dumb! I know you hate the guys, but you didn't have to screw up the portal for their way to get here!"
"I-Woah!"he stumbled a little bit, I did as well. "What was that?"
Struggling a little to my feet, I kept my balance. "Never mind about that. I want answers, Serling. Now!"
"Honestly, Master Cody. I don't know what you're talking about! I would never go around touching things I don't understand!"
"But I saw you! You were-"
I was cut off by the sound of a beep. "Cody Jones? Your visitor has arrived! Cody Jones, Your visitor has arrived." It echoed.
"We'll talk about this later, Serling." I loosen my fists and I exited my apartment.
