Long long ago, but not in a faraway land. There was a forest.
This was just a ordinary forest, like any other, except for one thing. In between all the normal other leafy trees there was one, special tree. One single pine tree grew in between the others.
-¥*¥-
Pine tree:
"Hey guys, weathers' nice, ain't it?"Other trees:
"..."Pine tree:
"Awww, guys, please! Answer! Even if it's only for once.."The other trees seemed to be annoyed. How can trees be annoyed? Don't ask me, I don't know either.
-¥*¥-It didn't take long before the pine tree, all alone, got very lonely and depressed. But his options were limited, trees can't move, so they can't kill themselves. Nor can trees handle any weapons to kill others, or handle anything for that matter.
One day, the tree heard a whistle, a whistle he never heard before, a new jingle.
He listened closely.
The whistle came closer.
A weirdly colored, two legged animal came out of the bushes. He saw the pine tree and suddenly just threw the thing he was wearing on his back against it. If the animal could've heard it had known the tree had let out a soft noise of hurt. The animal unzipped something and put the thing onto the ground, it popped up, the animal climbed in. The thing wasn't big, big enough for maybe two of those animals. Then he came out with some sort of tool and huge, nail like, things. He put them in the ground attaching lines from the thing to the nails.
The tree looked closely.
Nothing too interesting so far. He heard the other trees mumble something about the animal being a 'human' and that thing being a 'tent'. He didn't know, so he just watched as the animal walked away leaving the 'tent' and the thing he took off his back there. After a while, the 'human' came back with a pile of stones in two of their upper body limbs. It put them down in a circle and then walked to the pine tree.
It grabbed it's lowest branch and broke off a pice. Again, the animal could not hear but the pine tree howled in pain. I mean, how would you like it when one of your fingers was just torn off!
Anyways. The 'human' broke off more branches of the tree that softly felt all the pain disappear, like in a coma. The human lit the branches on fire, as the tree watched, it felt a weight on its pines like it had never felt before, seeing something of his own burn in front of him. The animal went to bed, leaving the fire on.The next morning, the animal was gone. The pine tree wondered where it had went, the fire was still there, still burning. Some how, I that got bigger, the tree saw the grass around get lit on fire too, even though there were stones around the fire. It burned quickly as it reached the tree's base. "W-What's happening?" It screamed. The other trees didn't answer. "Help!" The Pine tree screamed to the others. For the first time one answered, in a calm, low voice it spoke "There is nothing we can do, we will all burn together anyways." The tree was right. When twilight fell, the pine tree had lost its life.
