he's a monster,

The one who has consumed you,

He's simply a nightmare to those who have met him.

He's swallowed your eyes, darling,

He's devoured your smile and your compassion.

He's buried the heart that once wrapped everyone in a happy glow.

He's replaced you with something cold and menacing,

Something selfish.

He's like a plague that no one is willing to catch,

But somehow, you have caught it, your condition is critical, society says you might not make it.

But under his skin, so boarded up to block out a cure

I can see something so afraid

I can see you, and i can see your happiness.

Is it dark where you've been hidden away for all these months?

Is it cold and lonely, love?

Being avoided by those who once adored you seems oblivious to those cold eyes.

His heart of stone couldn't care who it hurts,

Even if he hurts the only one who will never leave.

I wont leave because i know its not you, i see past this disguise.

And if i leave, who would come after you, honey?

As impossible as its been to recover your personality

Theres got to be a way

You've got to come back, baby,

Because I'm feeling helpless and I'm in shackles, fighting off something hideous thats capturing me.

And when I've lost the love of my life, everyone has lost their best friend.
