A hidden kindness

The cave

(Author~ I OWN NOTHING! And this if my first fan fic! Glad it's Fiolee! <3)

Fionnas POV~~

Thump thump.

Thump thump.

I could hear my own heartbeat in the quiet darkness of the cave, Cake and I were adventuring in. We had walked in more than confident, but now... sitting on the cold hard ground, with nothing to see but pitch black, I'm scared that I'm never gonna get out of here with Cake.

My sister and I had lost each other along the way and I had no idea how. She suddenly... disappeared beside me. One minute, she was worrying about her kids and Mono, the next I was met with silence and cold air.

I had suddenly felt a strong urge to curl up in a ball and be afraid, so I did. It doesn't sound anything like the Fionna I know. But... it's like I had no choice.

"C-cake?" I croaked out to nothing, hoping she was just playing a joke on me.

Nothing.

I heard a soft noise and immediately grabbed my sword. I stood up slowly and felt along the walls to see where I was in the cave rooms.

The noise slowly got louder as I kept moving. I gripped my sword tighter, finally regaining courage, and little by little, I forced my feet to move forward the strange noise.

Whoosh...

Whoosh...

A dark figure flew past me in all different angles and I suddenly got claustrophobic.

"S-stop it! Whoever you are, it's not cool!" I yelled at the creature who didn't stop zooming past me.

With each whoosh I quickly got irritated. And with all my courage and strength, I stabbed my sword into the air at just the right moment.

"HI-YA! TAKE THAT YOU... uh... WHATEVER YOU ARE! Nobody messes with this hero!" I yell in triumph.

I wipe the sweat off my forehead and walk towards where the thing fell. My eyes had grown used to the dark, so I can see the outline of objects in the cave.

"Um... are you dead? Because I really need to find my sister Cake, and if you could give me some directions then tha-" I was cut off by a cold hand grabbing my ankle and lifting me up in the air.

"AHHH! PUT ME DOWN, UGLY!" Actually, I had no idea if it was ugly since the dark and all, but I can just assume all monsters are ugly.

It made a gurgling noise that sounded like it was laughing but I have no idea. It was... inhuman.

"You filthy human! How dare you wonder into my cave and think you can avoid the consequences by killing its owner!" It screeched, with horrible breath floating from its mouth.

I was trying to free the monsters grip from my ankle, but I had dropped my sword when I was swept off my feet.

"Uhh yeah but I didn't even know it had an owner!" I yelled back trying to buy some time.

"Lies! Everyone lies to me! I am not stupid anymore!"

"It's not a lie! My sister and I was adventuring in this cave, but then I lost her and I'm lost, so if you could just pleeease help me find her, then we can be on our wa-"

"Silence! I do not want to hear any of your idiotic excuses! I will kill you now because of your actions!"

The monster lifted me up even higher and was about to eat me, when I huge object flew into its face and I fell onto a soft, lumpy surface.

"OH UH UH. NO ONE LAYS A HAND ON MY BABYCAKES!"

"Cake!" I yell with relief.

"In the fur. Now hun, we gotta get outta here! My fur is all lumped up!"

I nod my head and lunge for my sword. When I have it, I look up at the creature, ready to strike.

"Goodbye, ugly!" I yell and jump towards it.

But before I could stab it in its head, a sharp stinging pain met my left leg and I went limp.

"aaaAHHH! CAKE I THINK IM FALLING!!" I scream.

"I GOT YOU SUGA!" Cake yelled and caught me with her enlarged paw.

"C'mon before it does anymore damage!" She told me as she ran.

"You shall never lea-"

"SHUT UP YOU LUMPIN FREAK." My feline sister yelled as she threw a boulder with her free hand at the monster.

We laugh as we hear it grunt and swear that it'll find us again, and we run out to the sunlight, towards our treehouse.

"Haha that was great!" I tell Cake as she carries me in her paw.

"Yeah it was, other than the fact that you almost died!"

"Hey! I could've jumped right before I fell into his mouth anyway!" I claim. She just rolled her eyes.

"Well I'm glad you're okay. I don't know what I would've done if I had came any later and found my baby sis in the stomach of a nasty monster!" Cake said as her tail fluffed.

I was about to ask her where she had been, but the pain in my left leg came back and reminded me that the creature has struck me with its tail before Cake caught me again.

"AHH! Cake! Something's wrong with my leg! I think it's because the thing stabbed me with its tail!" I tell her as I squeeze my eyes shut, falling numb again.

"And I can't move anything!"

Her tail fluffed even more. "Don't worry baby, imma take you to Gumball to have it checked out!" She said as she turned and started sprinting to the candy kingdom.
