She hurried through the dark forrest. Battling not only the branches that tore at her skin and cloak, but also the howling wind that tossed her small frame to and fro. She tried to hurry, stumbling through the deep snow. She pulled her cloak tighter around her as the snow poured down relentlessly.
"Allisidy? Where are are you Dear?" The voice called out sugary sweet, sounding almost like a song. It echoed eerily through the Forrest, even above the howling wind.
She quickened her pace, trying to keep her desperation at bay. She didn't know her final destination, only an odd instinct in the pit of her stomach, telling her where to go.
Up ahead she's able to make out some sort of structure, but unable to make out exactly what it is through the blizzard, only that it's not a continuation of the Forrest.
Soon the trees and and thick growth give way, as she approaches what she now can identify as a massive wrought iron gate, with sharp spear like heads adorning the tops of the bars. She puts her hands on the bars, and pokes her head through trying to get a glimpse what lay Beyond it.
"Allisidy, stop playing games with me darling." The eerie voice called out once again. This time more agitated, but still deceptively sugary sweet, and dangerously close.
A new desperation emerged, stirring up a whirlwind of emotions.
Allisidy hopped up onto the short cement platform that held the bars in place. She took a deep breath trying to thin out her already slim frame.
She heard the crunch of footfalls. And saw the dim glow of a lantern.
Fear gripped her. She felt frozen unable to move. You didn't come this far to get captured! She thought fiercely, now move! She tugged and pulled, and finally got halfway through. The lantern was growing dangerously bright, and she feared discovery, when at last she wriggled her way completely though the bars.
